US Immigration from Canada

Just wanted to give y'all an update with my Canadian Citizenship. I applied for Canadian citizenship on June 24th 2021 and became a US LPR on August 9th 2021. Historically, Canada used to require citizenship applicants to intend to live in Canada once granted citizenship, in 2017 this requirement was removed. My application was approved in early June and I was sworn in as a Canadian citizen on June 21st 2022 while being a resident of the US and not of Canada. I strongly recommend that you have an address in Canada where IRCC can send notices and your citizenship certificate (while ceremonies are still online), this could be an address of a trusted friend or family member. As before, there are no issues maintaining PR of both countries so long as you are in compliance with Canada's residency obligation (2 years in Canada for every rolling 5 year period), and the US's requirement to maintain primary domicile in the US.

I hope this is useful for Canadian PR's planning to move to the US and want to apply for Canadian citizenship too, as I am aware a few members were planning on doing this.

I will be traveling alone to USA from Canada to activate my Immigrant Visa which was issued last month. My family still stays in Canada.

I need to return to Canada for few months to close out the sale of our primary residence, wrap up all loose ends and ship our belongings before the final move.

Do I need to prepare a list of belongings that would follow and submit during my immigration (activation of GC) at the port of entry? Or I just return and prepare my list and show the CBP officer when we are making the final move.

Please share your experience.

I am Canadian citizen, working in Canada and applying for H1B visa. Due to non-availability of slots in Canada, can i book a H1B appointment in third country?

Will they be any limitations or restrictions? Any issues I will face?

Please suggest.

Is history of cancer an issue and make a parent inadmissible due to medical grounds if mom has history of cancer treatment?

Didn't see a June 2022 N-400 Filers group, so thought I'd start it.

Also, saw some folks saying they had issues at interview if they filed the first day of their 90-day early filing window. Anyone else have that issue? Since last week, I also received an update that my pending I-751 has been transferred, assuming to the local office that will process the N-400.
