Hi folks, Has anyone here that has recently been "in transit" from NVC to MTL remember how long it was "in transit for"? I know its something that's not really looked at , but thought maybe someone would have some insight.. Ive been in transit for almost 2 weeks now. And I don't know if that's because my IR2 is still at NVC waiting to be DQ.

I married a U.S. citizen in January 2022 and I'm wondering what the best route is to get myself and my two boys to the U.S. to live and become permanent residents. We are currently living in Canada. I will be retiring at the end of January 2023. I will be able to go to the U.S. after that. My 2 boys are stepsons and will not be able to follow until a couple of years after that. I want to start the process for us all, but I would like to unite with my husband in February. My oldest son is 21 years of age and "aged out" before we were married. My youngest son was 17 years old when we married. Do I go to the U.S., and then apply for a green card or apply through I-130 first? My youngest son meets the "derivative relative" category and my oldest, the "preference family" category, I believe. If there is a better way, I would love to hear from you, the experts :) Thank you, Tracey

Hello everyone, I am new to this platform I wanted to ask a question. I don't have a birth certificate, never had one because I have born and raised in a country where my parents where living a legally. After that we got migrated to Canada as a refugee. Now I am married to an American man and our paper at the NVC stage. It is required to have a birth certificate for the civil documents. What should I do? Any suggestions, please.

Hi, On Form I-485, Page 10, Part 8, Question 15. I'm not sure if the document I received at my interview date is a denial. In the document it states refusal. During my interview the company i did my medical exam did not send the results in time for my interview. All though the interview it self went perfect i was given a document because they had not received the medical file yet from them. So basically what I'm asking is do i need to select yes or no for Page 10, Par t 8, Question 15. "HAVE YOU EVER BEEN DENIED A VISA TO THE UNITED STATES" since i received this letter at my appointment.
