Has anyone had any issues crossing a land border from US to Canada and then back into US? I technically overstayed my K1 visa by a month before I sent in my AOS. We were married within the 90 days but my i94 did expire. I was given my green card this past July but I m scared to try and come back into the US since I did overstay my visa by 1 month technically. Do you think this will cause an issue? I m planning to go home for the first time over Christmas. Flying up to close to the border then crossing by land. Thanks in advance. This has been stressing me out.

Hello! I am filing for my N-400 under the 3 year marriage rule. I am not sure how to decide if I am eligible for the fee reduction. Do we go off the last filed year taxes? Or what this year should be? Or what? My income is 58k, salary based. My husband's income is where we are confused. He quit his retail job in March 2025. He has been self employed since. He is a sole menber LLC. We have not filed taxes for 2025 yet. This is the first year that he has been fulltime self employed. We have a gross amount the business has taken in this year. We're confused on what/how we would report his income for immigration, if at all. Do we calculate what he pulls each month as a paycheck? Say nothing? Say last year's tax numbers?? I feel like we should be asking a professional about it, but I'm not even sure what professional to ask...? An immigration lawyer ? An accountant?? Appreciate any and all insight!

Hey Visa Journey!! So, long story short I m a U.S citizen and my mom from Canada would like me to file for to get her Green Card. Now my question is she is already here in the U.S on an extended trip for a few months. Could we do the (I-130) petition and AOS forms here so she doesn t have to go back? Or would it be best for her to return to Canada and wait to be interviewed at the consulate in Canada? From research I ve seen the process is faster when filing for parents who are already in the USA. Answers are much appreciated!!
