My fianc lives in Canada, but he's not a Canadian citizen (he's Jamaican). He applied for his Canadian PR (permanent residency) January 2020, but it is still processing. We have not seen each other since January 2020 due to the border closure, and since he is not a Canadian citizen, we cannot visit each other (Canada only allows visitors who are related to a citizen or are in long-term relationships with citizens). Unfortunately he also cannot fly to the U.S. because he only has a work visa in Canada and he's afraid he wouldn't be allowed back in to Canada should he leave. I hope his pending Canadian PR application does not confuse/interfere with our pending K1. Should you have any knowledge on this topic, please let me know. I appreciate this message board and have found some anxiety-reducing posts. Thank you for sharing all the information you've uncovered and experienced. Good luck to all. I-129f process: Nov. 5, 2020: I-129f sent Nov. 10, 2020: I-129f received by the lockbox NOA1 not yet received

Hey all, Just wanted to share an update (not sure if this has been discussed yet) but moving forward from November, all RCMP finger print based police record searches under the Privacy act has been changed to the name "Criminal Record Check for Personal Use" The information would still be the same as long as the Reason for the check is listed under "Other", this gives an entire record check. Just in case anybody gets theirs back & panics that it reads differently!

Just a quick question for anyone that has experience regarding traveling while a I129-F is still being processed. I have been researching current processing times for the K1 visa and everything on the USCIS side seems fairly normal. But the NVC is stage after the NOA2 isn't looking good (10 Months) just to receive an interview. Has anyone here Traveled during the NOA1 or the NOA2 period? I normally go to the united states to be with her every year (for the past 3 years) and i stay for around 4 months. Like i said earlier we were hoping the k1 visa wouldn't be held up like it looks like it going to be due to the crappy covid. So is traveling after a I129-F has been received a bad idea?

Hello all! I am the beneficiary for the K1 visa and I have just recently gotten a new job. We are currently awaiting our NOA2 (NOA1 was March 24) and was wondering if I had to contact someone and change my workplace on the I-29F form. I'm not sure if it actually matters but I would hate to get an RFE just because I no longer work where I claimed was my current employer.
