Hello! I'm not sure how many of you have seen this, and I'm not sure where to post this to gain the most traction, but today the US State Department announced that the US will restrict anyone from purchasing tickets to/from Belarus. This is an unprecedented move that's left me scratching my head since hearing about it. First, Belarusians literally can't drive to another country's airport - land borders are effectively closed, and the US' flight ban to the Schengen Zone eliminates Warsaw and Vilnius as options. Further, the current flight ban against Belarus means the only way to the West from Minsk is either Istanbul or Moscow; I've heard, however, that it's quite difficult to transit in Moscow even for Belarusians right now. Perhaps the most bizarre part of this, though, is that if the goal was to defund Belavia and Aeroflot, they could've simply done this by not allowing in passengers who connected on these flights or deny people the ability to pay for tickets on Belavia/Aeroflot's website. If the goal was instead to simply prevent 'bad actors' from entering/exiting Belarus, it's even more perplexing as the US regularly expands the list of banned individuals and there's no VWP for ordinary Belarusians. I'm American and my fiancee is Belarusian, I have been to Belarus somewhere around ten times with my recent trip finishing in March. I'm not blind to the problems in Belarus, but I've been nothing but respected by everyone there and I cannot imagine who else this affects besides people like me and my fiancee. Has this restriction ever been placed on another country before? Is there anything American citizens can do to prevent this from being carried out? I feel like there are many people similar to me in this forum that are going to be deeply impacted by this decision in the immediate future - I don't even want to think of what it means for K1 visas. Thank you kindly in advance. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-move-restrict-travel-belarus-source-2021-06-29/

Hi everyone, Just reading the receipt I got for my wife and adopted daughter and the form has some weird wording like that it might take years to get a visa number after the petition is filed. I thought that spouses/children/parents don't have to wait for a visa number to be issued as they're the closest relatives a person has. Why would they place something like this? Is this referring to brothers/sisters?

https://www.cdc.gov/importation/bringing-an-animal-into-the-united-states/high-risk.html I just wanted to share this for those who are planning to bring their dog type furry children with them to the US. On 14 July 2021 the CDC will temporarily suspend the entry of dogs from a large number of countries worldwide, with exemptions available for US citizens or permanent residents relocating to the US. It's unclear how this will impact a K1 entry as there is no permanent residency until after AOS. As of now entries (after 14 July) with a dog can only be made through JFK. Permits must be applied for 30 days prior to travel, with required laboratory work to ensure antibodies against Rabies completed 3 months prior to travel.

Hello guys im new on here, so nice to meet everyone! , i just had a couple of questions, so i applied for k1 visa for my fiance from Belarus in october 2020, i just got back news that "On June 2, 2021, we approved your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fianc (e), Receipt Number xxxxxxxxxxx We sent you an approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice." So people are telling me they are going to be asking for my income. how do i know if i qualify ?? and what do i do if i dont qualify? Im 23, i worked as a subcontractor since 18, i made about $26,000 in 2019, 2020 i had $10,000 income and about $15,000 unemployment income due to COVID... so i had a period of time that i did not work. i have stopped doing subcontracting, and i got my CDL class A and in May 2021 (last month) started working for my cousins car hauling company, earning ALOT more money, about 8-10k a month. But when they ask to show my income, wont they ask for 2020 taxes since 2021 is not over?? because my income was not good in 2020 due to covid. could I show them my checks that I'm earning now in 2021? Also i still live with my parents, and my 3 sisters, we have a big house and we are a middle class family, the plan was for me to move out into an apartment when my fiance comes to USA. what should i expect? is my income good? how will i need to show my income? what year/s taxes will they want to see? can i have my parents joint sponsor my fiance if i am not making enough?thank you guys so much for your help!

Greetings all, In the process of filing an I-130 form for my adopted daughter from my wife's 1st marriage. My question is, if I'm submitting all the "Evidence to support your petition" section of the online I130 form, do I still have to submit anything in the "Additional Evidence" section?! I have the child's birth certificate with my name in it (made after adoption), the adoption decree and certificate, mine and my wife's marriage certificate, etc. Shouldn't this be enough? We don't have a religious record or a census record. I could get a school record if required... but is this really necessary? Thanks.
