I am confused about which affidavit of support id required. Before discovering this site I used Rapid Visa to assist with my application, the I-134 they have is completely different the one I got opened from the link provided by the NVC https://www.uscis.gov/i-134. This one is asking for financial information of the beneficiary as well as mine, I thought this form was for the sponsor?

Hello, I was hoping to find the right someone who can clarify my concerns and questions related to filing my 2021 tax returns.

My beneficiary spouse has recently received her GC and has scheduled to re-apply for SSN in April. Although my spouse did apply for SSN immediately upon her arrival back in 2021, the SS Administration had a long backlog and couldn't process it. We got married in 2021.

So far, I have read that I can either apply for ITIN (with the tax return) for the spouse which will allow me to file a "MFJ" tax return or file "MFS". Upon reading related posts, a member pointed out that if the person is a legal US resident and eligible for SSN (but not yet received one), s/he cannot apply for ITIN.

I would appreciate it if someone can provide recommendations on how I should go about filing taxes for Year 2021.

Two days ago my status updated to "Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken".

Now, I just received an email from USCIS saying that they have taken an action on my case. However, when I log in online, there is no change in status. I ve seen this happen before to other people, but I m wondering if they saw a change after some days, or if it is just a delayed status update.

Hi there! Hubby and I are about to file our taxes. We are pretty sure we did receive the three EIPs, but are not 100% sure. I know I can check with my bank statements, but I have been looking for the deposits and only found one, which is weird. I have an IRS account, but when I access the Economic Impact Payment information, it lists the payments that everyone received. It does not state whether I received them or not, unless I am missing something? Can somebody walk me through?

Good morning! This is something I've been thinking about lately, with no actual background or data to support this. But I'm curious about everyone's thoughts! Now with so many ways to connect with people overseas (social media, dating apps, gaming, etc.), I am curious if the rate of petitions for both CR1 and K1 visas have increased in the last decade or so. Previously, the only way to meet someone overseas was to meet someone in person, maybe on a vacation/work opportunity/study abroad. It would be even harder to stay in contact once returning home unless you wrote letters or paid for long distance calling. But now anyone could connect with someone overseas right from their living room and chat 24/7!

I met my husband in person in his country so I don't have that experience, but I see so many posts about people meeting online now and I am curious if it is driving up the number of visa applications/petitions. Has there been an increase in wait times over the last decade? Again, I have no data....Just some thinking while I eat my breakfast this morning. Comment away!
