  1. I see. Is that guy also waiting for an interview in Paris? Hopefully, this one case doesn't reflect a general trend. 7 weeks seems not too bad, keep us posted if you receive the interview letter, I hope it'll come soon!
  2. I see. Then I must have misunderstood. I remember seeing a post saying their case status changed to "In transit" before they received the interview letter, that's why I had the impression that the interview scheduling happens after the case is sent to the embassy. I guess then, the correct order should be: one receives the interview letter from NVC while the case status remains "At NVC" -> case status then changes to "In transit" -> finally to "Ready"?
  3. What's your category, employment-based (EB) or family-based (FB)? Is your PD current? If yes, what's your case status? If your PD is current and your case status is still "At NVC", then this means NVC still hasn't sent your case to the embassy yet, you should contact NVC (via the NVC public inquiry form) to ask and remind them to do the transfer. It could be due to some mistakes by NVC (for example not realizing your PD is current). If the status is "In transit" it means it's being sent to the embassy. If the status is "Ready", it means the case is already sent to the embassy and ready for scheduling an interview. This should be the correct case status.
  4. What's your case status? 5. I see. Then it must be some mistake of the NVC. As soon as your PD is current, they should send your case to the embassy. After the embassy receives your case, they will start scheduling your interview.
  6. Oh wow, that's a long wait. What's your category? Is it family-based or employment-based? And, what is your case status? Is it "At NVC" or "Ready"? If it's the former, it means your case is still at NVC, and NVC has not sent your case to the embassy yet, in this case, maybe you should contact NVC to ask about it and remind them to do the transfer. (I assume your PD is current because if not, your case will stay at NVC) If it's "Ready", then it's at the embassy, and then the delay is because of the embassy, then this is not so good, perhaps try contacting the embassy?
  7. I see. It's good to know about the NIW case on Reddit you mentioned, December to today is 4 ~ 5 months, that's quite a long delay. Do you know what this person's case status is? If the case status is still "At NVC", that means NVC still hasn't sent his/her case to the embassy yet, in this case, maybe you can suggest to him/her to contact NVC (via the NVC public inquiry form) to ask why. It could be due to some mistakes by NVC (for example not realizing the case's PD is current). If the status is "In transit" it means it's being sent to the embassy. If the status is "Ready", it means the case is already sent to the embassy and ready for scheduling an interview, then the delay is due to the embassy. If this is the case, then that is indeed worrying. Perhaps it's worth contacting the Paris Embassy (I found the contact us page: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-fr/iv/information/contact_us But I'm not sure if they will reply).
  8. What is your priority date (PD)? Is your PD already current? I would expect the delay to be quite small, as there is not a lot of caseload in Paris anyway. There are always very few EB1/2 cases in Paris. See here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/immigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-immigrant-visa-issuances.html For example, in March 2024, there were only 7 EB1 and 10 EB2 visas issued in Paris: https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/Immigrant-Statistics/MonthlyIVIssuances/MARCH 2024 - IV Issuances by Post and Visa Class.pdf (It's written as "E1, E2" in the table, but they are EB1 and EB2 cases, not the non-immigrant E visa.) The low caseload also means the probability of finding EB1/2 people who are waiting for or recently finished their interviews in Paris on this platform is quite small. On another note, there could be some impact of the Summer Olympics on some non-immigrant visa processing, but I don't know if it impacts the immigrant visas processing, see the Question No. 10 here in this document: https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/AILA/AILA Spring 2024 DOS Liaison Agenda 3-20-2024.pdf (Source: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/department-of-state-aila-lilaison-committee-meeting-march-20-2024.html)
  9. It's about a month, not that huge a delay, but if it becomes more than 2 months, then I'd say definitely contact NVC and USCIS (Emma) to ask about it.
  10. I'm sure your PD will be current this October because that's when a new fiscal year begins and new visa numbers are released.
  11. Try send an inquiry here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html , this is the best way to contact NVC, they will reply you within days.
  12. I'm sorry to hear that. Your PD is only one month after Feb 15, so I'm sure once the bulletin moves forward, it'll be past your PD!
  13. You may still get an interview letter this month, as this month (April) the final action date is July 1, 2022, so your PD is current this month, but not next month. But I don't know how your embassy works or how this situation in general works, maybe there is not enough time, maybe there is...
  14. For those who are EB2 and waiting for the interview letter, please be aware that on the visa bulletin of this month (April), the final action date is July 1, 2022 (for countries other than China and India), and it will retrogress to Feb 15, 2022, next month. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin.html So if your priority date is not before the final action date, you won't receive the interview letter, not until the final action date moves forward to a date after your priority date.
