It could be due to some mistakes by NVC (for example not realizing your PD is current). If the status is "In transit" it means it's being sent to the embassy. If the status is "Ready", it means the case is already sent to the embassy and ready for scheduling an interview. This should be the correct case status.

What is your priority date (PD)? Is your PD already current? I would expect the delay to be quite small, as there is not a lot of caseload in Paris anyway. There are always very few EB1/2 cases in Paris. I read in a previous post of yours that you got an email from NVC that you are in queue awaiting an interview on Jan 12. Has your case been sent to Paris embassy already? Or is it still at NVC? Two months is a long time of waiting already... Plus,, I'm born in China so I also need to wait for the visa bulletin to be current first , but I didn't know to get an interview in Paris needs waiting too..
