    I applied for the DV lottery 2025 and hope to be selected this year. My fiancé and I discovered that there is a fiancé visa for the USA. Do you think if we apply for the K1 visa but are selected for the DV lottery that we can stop the fiancé visa process? What are the timelines and options here :)?

    My fiancee arrived last month on K1 fiance visa and we got married yesterday. It seems from what I have seen online that I made a mistake by not getting SSN prior to marriage? I am going to the SSN office on Monday to gather more information... also worried about employment authorization and travel authorization(s). Thanks for any insights!

    Upon my gf's most recent arrival, her tourist visa was cancelled at the airport due to her frequent visits last year and suspicion of working here. She was denied entry and sent back same day. Is a CR1 or K1 visa process an option still? I would appreciate any advice or tips you can provide!

    Hello. We got married last March and will be applying for petition of my partner. Our CEMAR from PSA is 2 pages. Even though we only passed the marriage certificate from LCR. The solemnizing officer endorsed us as being married under Article 24. But we have legal marriage license in the 1st page. The 2nd page only has the signature of the officer and not the local registry. We were advised to just pass the 1st page. We would have to sue and go to court to ammend this which could take years and we d like to avoid that. We have certified true copies of everything. Do they scrutinize 2-page marriage certificates that badly?

    Filed my i130 and i485 and was denied due to the credit card form (not sure why probably because it was submitted during the cost change end of May)

    Regardless i have a couple questions.

    Should i reapply with the same forms they sent back to me? There s some pen marks at the bottom of a couple pages so i m not sure if these would be okay for resubmission.

    Would you recommend us to now file the i130 online first? Instead of doing all in mail again.

    Finally, I filed the first time before my ESTA expired but now it has after waiting over a month for a reply. Does this change the process or any of my forms?

    hi guys I got Email from NVC that I got documents qualified but have case FE note there that income reported on I 1864 not sufficient to overcome public charged its there going to be any problem on interview oversea

    Hello, I m trying to fill our DS260. my SSN number is starting with 0.

    When I write the SSN number and go to the review part, the system deletes 0 and continues with other numbers which is a total of 8 numbers instead of 9.

    So is it normal or not?

      One of my friends came to Canada as a student and applied for the US visitor visa for which he was granted during the interview from a US consulate in Canada. He went back to his home country (India) for some days to visit and went directly to the US to seek asylum. My question is that is he eligible for seeking asylum in the US regardless of the treaty signed between two countries (US and Canada).

      N-400 interview notes: 
       
      Biometrics was waived. Interview was May 8 at the San Antonio office. The officer was friendly and efficient. We applied under the 3 year rule following CR-1 (approved 2019) and ROC (approved 2022) but we are just short of 5 years. Spouse did not attend, just the applicant. Interview was short and easy, and all questions came straight from the USCIS list so as long as you study those and know your important dates (especially first date of entry with your green card and dates of all foreign travel since you became an lpr) you’ll do just fine.
