Our joint sponsor made miskate he chose that he is the petitioner instead of he is the joint sponsor we get dq like that and i am having the interview soon what i should do? Its very important to get another signature from him ? Idk what to do

We're married for 5 years and have a child. My husband was working and meeting the income requierement for CR1/IR1 visa, but his chronic illnesses got more severe these past months. He's looking into social security disability as his health limitations are not letting him work. Can he sponsor my CR1 visa being on SSD? We're about to submit the civil documents and pay fees for NVC, he's still working but would apply for SSD in a month and get approved in 6 months. We're new on this, I appreciate your answers

Hi all, my H1B 60 days grace period ends next week 11/11. Canadian living in US and married to a USC. We filed I-130 and I-485 concurrently (I-130 filed online PD 10/21/25, I-485, I-765 mailed to USCIS lockbox and waiting on receipt/acknowledgement). 2 questions:

1. Do I need to file to change to a B2 visa if my I-485 isn't received by USCIS by 11/11?
2. If my I-485 is acknowledged and and received by USCIS before 11/11, is there any further action that needs to be taken on my end?

I filed my I-751 back in December 2022 and the last update was last December where they transferred it to another office (NBC) as per USCIS page I could ask for an update since it's been so long, now my question is have you requested information and had a positive result? If so, how long after the request?

I filed my AOS packet a few months ago, my I-130 is approved but I got an RFE on the I-485 because I uploaded the birth registration instead of the birth certificate.

I did get a new birth certificate from my local government, but I noticed my fathers name does not exactly match between my passport and my birth certificate.

Essentially he has a "kumar" appended at the end of his first name in my birth cert. So its "FirstNameKumar LastName" on my birth cert and "FirstName LastName" on my passport and other documents. This is mostly a cultural thing and can be considered an honorific. I have a similar issue with my Mom's name.

The rest of the information matches. I'm wondering if I should just upload this as is because its a minor thing or try to explain it with an affidavit from my Parents ?
