  1. Why do the embassy authorized doctors in Bogota require that vaccinations be "fresh" and require beneficiaries to obtain and pay for vaccines they have already received?
  2. Does the attendance of the petitioner at the interview have any impact on the outcome?
  3. How does the embassy determine if the beneficiary and petitioner share a common language?
  4. When petitioners attend the interview, what determines whether or not they are interviewed?
Thanks!

PS: By the way everyone, the name of the country is Colombia.

I agree with Bill's questions. I would also ask why they ask to see "proof of relationship" (photos, emails, and such) from some folks and nothing from others?

All of these questions that Bill poses are EXCELLENT.

I have one more:

Why does the embassy answer VISA questions only two hours per week ?... and if there happens to be a holiday on that day...oh well...skip that week!!!

I have a excellent question to ask. How is the Adam Walsh Law being handled. If there is a conviction on ether the petitioner or beneficiary. They say this is a broad law to be ineligible to file unless the reviewing officer feels there is no pose of threat to spouse or child? Attorney's do not even have the correct answer. This is such a new law under debate with USCIS and Home land security.

I'm about to send off the DS 230 to the London Consulate. I'm divorced and the USCIS have seen the papers etc and approved us. My question is: Am I supposed to give my ex-wife's details (Name of Spouse/maiden name etc) and rpoduce the original marrige certificate? I didn't for the USCIS.

My timeline

Timeline

May 9th '07 - Sent I-129F to Texas

May 16th - Texas received (Cheque cashed)

May 21st - 129F transferred to California (Registered date online at USCIS)

July 20th Called to trace NOA1

July 30th Rec NOA1 but using USCIS website date of May 21st

Aug/Sept Called 3 times and told "Will get NOA2 any day now"

Sept 21st Touched for the very first time!

Oct 15th Touched! Patsy called to ask about using Humanitarian Expediting. Told we could be approved any day.

Oct 16th Touched after emailing UK Consulate.

London emailed to say they would check with NVC and USCIS

Oct 16th - APPROVED!!! NOA2 on it's way....

Oct 21st Patsy received NOA2

Oct 23rd Patsy coming to UK. (with all our files etc and NOA2) We were advised that I shouldn't risk a visit to the USA whilst K1 pending!!. I could be refused entry and sent back home!

Nov 10th Patsy went home and we'd called NVC a lot but failed to get through to an operator for update.

Nov 13th NVC say they received our file.

Nov 15th NVC say they sent it to London. Now the last leg waiting begins.

How many petitions are received and set up for interview by month???

Why do you limit calls to just Wednesdays for only 2 hours instead of Monday to Friday and for more hours?

Why cant we pick up the visas anymore and have to wait for Domesa to deliver them if we are able to get them on our own??

I concur. I was also about to add the same question.

Several of us have been waiting quite a couple of days for an interview after Packet 3 was sent. DOS representatives ensure me everything thing is fine and beneficiary is eligible for interview, but we are just in queue.

Why the sudden delay? Will packet 3's received by the Embassy on or before the 16th get a December interview?

Thanks.

Ewok do you have the list yet? I would be very interested in what they say. If you have not compiled it here is my question.

Why is there no information on Minors going through by themselves? I know this happens often as I hear stories, however I have not had any related to what my step kids will go through. As soon as I do I will post. I did email the embassy and they answered my question about who can go with the kids to the interview. The mother does not need permission, biological parent can always go to the interview.

My question is how will they conduct an interview on minor children on their own petitions. Mine are 15 and 11.

Thanks

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

Hello Everyone,

I am a Dual citizen of US and Canada born in U.S. Last June my Canadian girlfriend and I got married in Canada. We have residences in both U.S. and Canada but want to be in U.S. to finish building our house and take care of my severely ailing 89 year old father. As I understand it, I can file the I-130 from within U.S. but she cannot return if she leaves to see her ailing mother in Canada. Is there any way for her to be able to leave the U.S. and then return while her papers are being processed? Also, should I file for a CR-1 rather than I-130?

Thank you
