It's MissLiss/Heina...anyway it's been a while since I've been on here. Not much to say anymore since our Visa Journey came to an end. We got up to the point when I would have sent in the Affidavit of Support when God stepped in and said...hold it. I came to the realization that I did not want to continue to be married to someone who I considered my friend, no longer my husband, just so he could come back. No, I didn't marry him for that purpose but that's what it had turned into. Bottom line, it had been turning around in my mind for a while and I couldn't bring myself to put my name on the line, literally, for someone I knew was not forever. It's been an interesting couple of months, fortunately we've been able to stay best friends so far. On April 15, 2008 we will file the "no fault" divorce papers and within a month-ish we will be divorced. I never thought I would be divorced ever, let alone at 25, but I am thankful to God that He led me to this before it got to the point where so much more was at stake. At least we're young enough to move on with our lives and I can only wish the best for Javier. He is an amazing person, a great provider and husband, he deserves someone who can truly appreciate him. Anyway, I've already spoke to an elder at church, now I'm working on summoning the courage to break it to mom and dad. That will be the hardest thing I've ever had to do. So please pray for me for the courage to go through with it; it will be happening within the next few days.

Thanks, I am feeling much better in general. What's helped a lot is discovering that I'm bipolar and being put on the appropriate medication to deal with it. I used to think that mental illness=crazy but now I know better and it's amazing what kind of clarity comes from feeling better.

The last day we saw each other was April 14, 2007. A no fault divorce requires 12 months of voluntary separation so we start counting from April 15, 2007. We'll have the papers ready to go before then though. Just a coincidence on the taxes thing.

Since we were in the middle of the NVC stage is there anything I need to do as far as immigration or does our case just die after that 1 year of non-response passes? Thanks.

not sure... but I would write a letter withdrawing your application. They will deny the case otherwise and nothing good will come of that (I assume).
