It seems the process of K1 is completely standstill at California Service Center. Heard a rumor that because of the fire in CA, all materials have been transferred to Texas, so it will take even longer to process, possibly next Januray.

Is this just a baseless rumor? Or does it have some truth?

while it is a relief to know it was just rumors, I am still wondering what is taking them so long? It's been 4 months since I submit the application, but still have not received my NOA2. Has anyone else any better luck?

Ursa, I submitted our K-1 petition in January and it was 4 months before our NOA2 got approved. Also, it took another week for the online system to reflect our approval. And then....it took 2 months to get the NOA2 in the mail. I'm not sure what the timelines are like since the fee increases, but 4 months sounds normal.

in judging the possible truth of a rumour, I always like to consider its source... so, Ursa: where did you here this about the files being transferred from CA to TX? I've certainly not heard anything about that, and it doesn't sound right to me, but knowing where you heard it would be helpful

as for the time scale - I can only repeat what everyone else has said; it's been quite a long time for quite a long time! if you want to talk to people about specifically CSC-related issues, there's a thread here - however if you start reading from the beginning, I would urge you to approach with caution, as it's a very popular thread and moves on quite quickly, so the stuff at the beginning is VERY much out of date ;)

secondly, if you want to see the historical trends in the processing times, go here - the NOA1 to NOA2 timeframes are the second lot of graphs on the page

I'm about to hit four months since NOA1, and I don't expect an approval for at least another month... probably more like two; it's just how long it's taking these days, unfortunately

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

I was totally scared by your post, before reading other replies!! I've heard a lot about the fire in CA, but I never thought it could be related to our Visa Process. :o Still it seems the things are moving on there, just slow for us. Anyway, Patience is a virtue! :star:

gah! typo, and too late to edit! :o

*OCD part of self twitching madly*

for the record: I DO know the difference between 'here' and 'hear'; it's a mistake I only make typing, and even then rarely... my fingers just run away with me sometimes ;)
