    I called USCIS and the woman flat out said that she didn't know what I should do or what the rules were. The interview letter says please keep the appointment even if you do not have all the items indicated above. So I guess I'll go and see what happens.

    I'll give that a try. It's darn near impossible to get someone on the phone there.

    I'm not sure what you're asking. I filed N-400 April 25, 2022. Interview set for October 13, 2022. Mailed my passport renewal 3 weeks ago. Wait time is up to 6 months right now to get it back. Unfortunately not. I don't have my old original passport.

    I just got my interview letter for October 13th. Thinking that it wouldn't be until next year sometime I sent my Canadian passport away for renewal. It's now stuck in the passport backlog. I can't imagine it will be here by then. Can I go without it? Should I reschedule? Has this happened to anyone else? I feel so dumb.
