Where in the story is the part where the grasshopper was born in poverty, went to a crappy public school, didn't have money for college, didn't get a scholarship 'cus the public didn't have a good educational system, and tried to find work and nobody would hire him 'cus he didn't have enough study or experience? And the part that all the other grasshoppers in the same situation didn't actually go blame the ants?

One person's ant is another person's grasshopper. Funny I think most people here see themselves as ants, but not everyone would agree!

Very true, especially if you add a few words for those who have multiple hearts:

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays and wastes the summer away on VJ.

That was pretty lame.

No that is modern America..

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Unfortunately, most taxing authorities anywhere cannot seem

to grasp this rather straight-forward logic!

Great analogy as well. In the western world, the rich pay for the poor. Without the rich the poor get jack ######.

The problem arises when the first 4 get comfortable at paying nothing. They then feel they are being shortchanged when the person who is paying most of the taxes gets a break. This happened in Australia where anyone earning over $55K was paying 47% tax while people at the other end of the spectrum tax rate ranged from zero to 15%. After the government pushed the 47% threshold to $100k, everyone else complained about it not being fair.
