burgers from mom and pop joints are the best.. specially when its the greasy burger that makes the wrapping paper transparent lololol...

nothing beats a NC all the way burger, with chilli and slaw!

but for burgers, I go to red robin, or if I'm cheap, a local NC joint called Cook'out.. the best..

Red Robin is good. There is a place a little north from us that has great breakfasts for cheap and then make the greatest burgers and burritos ever  I think there are only two stores, one in La Mirida and one in Lancaster.

Like I said, I wouldn't trade my homecooked meal for BK, it was just a convenience in the situation I was in (I do like sundaes from those places though). Back home I liked Bob's, but I almost never went to McD's.

My fast food craving usually involves pizza, but when I want a burger I usually make at home, with the freshest lettuce and tomato, not so greasy burgers, and sometimes I'll add a fried egg, which is a way small brazilians joints will do and tastes wonderful to me, I skip the cheese and add an egg.

Out here when we don't cook we usually either eat a local joint calzone or local chinese, hubby will sometimes stop at Taco Bell, but we skip McD's, BK, Wendy's, etc altogether, my experiences were exceptions to the rule. I also refuse to eat at KFC, been to one when I was 16 'cus I was with a group of people who went there, and never again I stepped foot into a KFC and never plan to do so either.

Five Guys make great burgers. The tastiest and healthiest fast food joint is probably Chick-Fil-A.

Wendy's and Macas are probably my preferred fast food. My rule of thumb for fast food joints is checking out the establishment. 9 out of 10 times I find that if the place is run down, outdated and not clean, the food and service will be #######.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

I went to a Bojangles when I was in the States a couple of weeks ago..... That was goooooood.. :D

I don't know whether it was because we had been driving for 6 hours and we were starving hungry or not though  Seemed to be a lot better than #######*y old KFC though.

Oh. And I can't stand BK either... The ones in England are just as bad. Their food just isn't nice anymore.

I don't eat a hell of a lot of junk food, but sometimes I do get the odd craving. Usually go to McDonalds.

WhatABurger rules :)

the problem is simple at burger king, they can get away with anything. so they dont care if they screw up an order.

I've just gotten pretty upset with how Burger King's workers work. The last 2 weeks I've had two bad experiences going to a BK. I almost never go there but last week I was driving to work and had a sugar craving, I felt like a sundae before being stuck the next 5 hours with customers upset and screaming at me.

I stopped at a BK close to work and ordered a strawberry sundae, and also ordered a whopper Jr. (just the sandwich, not the combo) to take home to my hubby. The place was empty except for 2 people waiting for their orders. There were 3 workers chatting and discussing and laughing with one of the people waiting for their food. Obviously they were friends. Anyway, I noticed the girl preparing the sandwiches wasn't doing anything, and the girl preparing the drinks, shakes, and putting orders together wasn't either, and I stood there staring at them until they looked at me and the other woman waiting and realized they were supposed to be doing something. Finally after about 10 minutes the girl comes to me with the paper bag with a whooper Jr. inside, cold, old looking fries and a soda. I said to her I had ordered a sundae and a whopper, not a combo. She just said "yes m'am, but we don't have any ice cream mixture right now to make the sundae, so I just put down the combo". I had a little discussion with her about telling the cx they are out of thing they want and not just shove something else they didn't order, but since I had paid with a debit card, was running late to get into work (it was 10 min before 6 pm, I get in at 6), and knew it'd be a mess to try and get my money back and left after complaining about the service. I did notice there were NO managers on the establishment.

Now, a week later, and that was yesterday, I was coming home from work and decided to stop to get a chicken whopper and onion rings, at a different BK. This was in a drive thru. I was especific in saying I wanted the chicken whopper NOT in a combo, and an order of onion rings. She confirmed the sandwich and onion rings and I moved on to pay and then get my bag. For some reason I didn't look inside the bag until I was home and ready to eat, only to find I had the sandwich and fries, not onion rings.

So, what the heck is wrong with BK?

You have to blame it on the management. If you havent noticed already, they announce your order by microphone. McDonald's does it by the computer monitor. I have had less mistakes at McDonald's than BK.

I've always liked BK better than McDonald's just for the food. Born and raised in southern California I have never heard or seen it like the experience you had.
