I think it's all superficial nonsense. JMHO.

It depends how important a value you consider nationalism.

I don't see it as in issue of "nationalism or patriotism" so much as one of respect. When you're in someone else's home, you show some respect for their culture, their rules, their laws and their ways of doing things. You don't trample all over them and do whatever you feel like doing. ;)

Excepting that respect is nationalism. I for one could care less. Life goes on, who cares what flag a person flies.

Some people still fly the confederate flag. Is that disrespectful? it could be to some.

If it really bothers you, vote with your dollar and don't go to that persons place of business.

I can see that. It's just that I don't think relative flag height is all that important. It's not as if they were burning the American flag. I think the guy's reaction was as if they had been.

I did not know that flying another country's flag above the American flag was illegal, but common sense would tell me to fly the American flag above, and then my own country's flag below it.

There's nothing wrong with being proud of the country you came from, but by the same token, if you plan to live and work in the U.S., you should also be proud of the country you now live in.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

when in rome, do as romans do. and in the usa that means the usa flag is above all others. if someone wants to fly the mexico flag higher than the usa flag, go do it in mexico. the ignorance of some people astounds me.

Is it so hard to go in politely to the management and ask them to put the flag higher?

People's nationalistic sensitivities are heightened right now about the sense of entitlement projected by Latino groups and illegal supporters. I thank God that the illegals decided to put it on full display on 2006 when they took to the streets demanding "rights" and flying foreign flags. It lit a fire under those who believe in respect for the law and traditions of the land they love. God bless America!

no, but i seen italian ones higher..seen American flags faded and frail..no one gave a sh!t,,but because of the medial attention and Mexican backlash here..it became an issue for a chopf##k to feel important..who cares if he is a vet? does that make him more of an American than one that did not serve?
