She could get it! But I think her cause is laughable. I am all for ethical treatment for animals, but not eating meat is unnatural. We, as humans, are designed to be meat eaters. Our brains didn't increase in size until we began hunting for food. It's a proven fact. The proteins from meat are vital for our advancement in intelligence. take away meat from our diet over the past million years and we would be quite primitive today, with the brain size of a chimp. So go ahead vegans and vegetarians! Knock yourselves out! if becoming emaciated and lethargic is appealing to you, eat those beansprouts and soy burgers until your hair falls out from malnutrition. No skin off my back. now, I think I'll fire up the grill and get down on some veal chops. Mmmmm. I work with a girl who has been a vegan for 10 years. she is being released from the hospital tomorrow....oh and child services are now threatening to take her children away because they are not receiving the nutrition they require. Save the lambs! The hell with children, right??

While I love meat as much as the next guy, I know many vegetarians/vegans and they're very healthy - i.e. not emaciated or lethargic, and with full heads of hair.

Jenn's right. Don't confuse eating poorly or child abuse with being vegetarian. Nutritionists will say that a properly balanced vegetarian diet is healthy. Vegan can be a little trickier and isn't recommended for young children (plus, a life without cheese?), but humans are designed to be omnivores, not carnivores. I know a lot of vegetarians and they're all healthy and active people with shiny hair and good muscle tone.

Plus, for most of human history, eating meat hasn't been as simple as grilling your veal chops. Whatever evolutionary argument there is for eating meat (probably pretty dubious) doesn't really translate into daily steaks; most of the time grains and starches and veg were staples. Meat was more of a condiment.

I am really at the top of the food chain But we do have a few Vegan friends that when they come over we always try to accomadate them with awsome salads and grilling veggies on the barbecue grill. They are actually pretty healthy and fit. And then, so am I

A local cable provider planned to launch the new commercial, in which the healthy actress coos about vegetarianism, on Wednesday (19Sep07) but the ad was cancelled.

Comcast Cable bosses banned the spot because Silverstone is naked, and they don't want to upset viewers in Texas.
