Wedding Invitation Graphic

Just wanted to share

I found the background on Google image search, I drew us first on a sketchpad then moved it on over to Paint Shop Pro. Added some accessories and this is what I mailed out to our friends and family

The inside read the first verse and chorus to Nothing Can Keep Me From You by KISS, which will be played for our first dance.

I also managed to incorporate a Yorkshire Rose with a Texas Star, I don't think I have that uploaded anywhere though.

then we decided we were having a pirate wedding, like hell if I was going to change the graphic!

Did anyone else here have wedding invites that reflected both nationalities? I'd like to see!

We didn't have one invitation that reflected both cultures. However, we had a Chinese wedding reception in Hong Kong before we came here for the actual wedding, and we had two versions of the card, one Chinese and one English. They were kind of a gold tint, don't know why they look blue here:

Hehe, I used a little artistic license with our waistlines My hair is currently blue but I think I may go back to black before then. Other than that. those are our actual eye colors and his actual hair color and natural highlights. I also think this is the only way I will ever see him wearing a tux!

i made our own invitations too....

I don't really have a picture of it but on the front was a picture of us in heart shape and I printed it out on this cloud paper... on the inside was a poem I wrote my hubby towards the beginning of our relationship... the inside was printed out on daisy paper .....and then the whole invitation it was tied together with a little blue bow.... they were very cute

this was similar to the picture I used on the invite but in the pic I used I am not all over him as much as I am in this picture

and this is the poem that I put on the inside...

My Heart

I have given you my heart

It is very fragile

So handle it with care

Hold it gently in your hands

I know you won't let it drop

Lovingly caress it

And treat it as your own

Cherish and protect it

And keep it close to you

I know you will do all these things

And I promise to do the same!!

We had a tiny civil court wedding with his his parents and sisters as witnesses, so no invites.

I didn't even think of putting a Can/Am theme to the invites. But we did have a heart shaped groom's cake with "Two countries, one love" on it and little Canadian and american flags.

Mine was very simple - don't think I have a scan but have some crappy doctored thing that I used as an eample before I bought all the bits and put them together... let's see if I can find it...
