Is NVC taking longer?

Hi, I remember reading some comments about NVC being overloaded and recently taking longer to process and send out stuff. If you are experiencing that (NVC seems to be taking longer than you expected from older timelines), please comment here! That would help us estimate how long our remaining NVC process would take! As for us, we are waiting for NVC to cash our IV check and to send us DS 230. According to USPS, they received our check on 17th, but they still have not cashed it or entered it into their system. Please let us know your situation!

That is because when operators look in the system they give you the date that a letter was generated, not the date that it was mailed. This happened with our DS230, they generated the letter two weeks before they mailed it out. The same thing happened with our appointment letter, the letter was generated long before it was mailed out. <_<

Feel free to look at my timeline. One of my buddies got married 2 weeks right after me in the same country. All the processing times so far have held currrent, almost in tandem with mine. However, that is not to say this is the norm. There are situations whereby the processing time can be faster, it is luck of the draw really. My buddy and I know this guy who got married 2 months after us, and is now 1 month ahead of us. Go fig @.@

Our IV bill took 10 days to arrive from generation. This seems to be pretty standard actually, so no worries there :)...
