Yeah, you're right! But it's sad to know that others don't want their babies, while my cousin back in the Philippines tried everything (from one doctor to another) just to have one, but they can't! How I wish God just gave the baby to them... for sure the baby will be well-loved!

I do everything also and it takes 10 years before I have Robin..and here some woman have a sick mind like that, horrible!

Some people are so *ahem* 'large' that they don't notice that they are pregnant, nor does anyone else. But I have no idea if that theory fits this situation. Still, the punishment for this sort of behavior should be sterilization. Unbelievable.

I don't know but maybe everyone is jumping to conclusions a little too early?

Ever heard of -I have no idea what it is called but it basically makes women totally freak out after giving birth. Usually women are in hospitals when they give birth so they are monitored.

A friend of mine for example gave birth and refused to even look at her baby for days. All she did was crying even she was so excited about her pregnancy and the though tof having a child.

So, I don't know. Sure this story is very very horrible, but we all don't know yet what really happened.

And yes, it does happen that women don't know they are pregnant. Happened to a classmate. She didn't know about her pregnancy until she was 9 months. She found out and 4 weeks later her baby was born.

Now don't ask me how you can miss out of that but I guess it is possible.

American kids nowadays are no where near emotionally ready for this kind of thing. Most dont even know how to change a tire or cook thier own food.And it seems the adults are too busy to care.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Kansas City police are investigating a 20-year-old woman who allegedly tried to flush her newborn son down the toilet at a McDonald's restaurant.

Both the baby and the mother, a Kansas City resident who works at the McDonald's, are at the hospital being treated after the Monday afternoon incident. Police said the child is expected to survive.

"Fortunately, the baby's fine," Capt. Rich Lockhart said today. "The baby's at the hospital getting treatment. The mother's at the hospital getting treatment. We're investigating it."

No charges had been filed as of late this morning. Lockhart said police have interviewed workers at the McDonald's and planned to talk to the mother once she's able to speak to them.

"She's being treated, and we haven't been able to talk to her to get her side of all of this," Lockhart said.

Police will then consult with prosecutors to determine what, if any, charges will be filed.

The incident occurred about 12:50 p.m. Monday. Lockhart said workers became concerned after the woman failed to return from the restroom. The workers quickly called paramedics after checking on the woman.

Lockhart said the woman allegedly told paramedics that she had tried to flush the baby down the toilet several times. When paramedics arrived, he said, the child was still in the toilet and wasn't breathing. They administered CPR, then rushed the baby and mother to the hospital. Police were notified about 2:30 p.m., Lockhart said.

"The mother told paramedics that she didn't know she was pregnant," he said.

The newborn has been placed in the temporary custody of children's services, Lockhart said. Still unclear is whether the woman has other children, he said.
