Never mentionned the visa I came in, nor asked about if I had intent to marry him or not. No big surprise there, what really matter is that we are bona fide I guess.

Thanks Cecy for keeping it updated. I was actually wondering how your case was going. Glad to her you have your GC!

I've got my green card, I've got my green card!

I had to go home for an errand and it was in the mail. Exactly 2 weeks after our interview. It put a smile on my face.

And it's exactly like others described. At the top left corner it just says PO Box blabla, Lee Sumit (so I knew right away what it was) no mention of USCIS or anything. And then the space for your name and address. Everything else is white. I guess it's so no one tries to still it.

No I didn't take recommendations. I think you're talking about those afidavits that either friends or family fill saying they know you and yadayada, we send one from his cousin with the application. She held our wedding reception at her house so she was perfect for it

Glad you found it. There is less and less updates to do so it tends to be pushed way back.

So my case it good. Happy to be done for 21 months or so :)

If you check the list you will see that two people are still waiting (in Green). I wish we all were accepted already like you said, I wish I had been a while back... A lot of July filers found their cases delayed. Some local offices are busier than other and on top of there was the increase of application in July 07, didn't help either.

so here i am gettin everything together for the second time (plus the complaint against the first AO that interviewed us!!!) ... i am so tired of this stuff already!!! what looked like done in no time ended up a journey from hell ... and i am the last one to finish .... just a bit frustrated with doing the same stuff twice ... sorry but had to vent!!! now my positive thinking cap on and let's get this one done!!! ;)

Good to hear for you. I'm crossing my finger that you get an IO with more common sense than the last one and that the interview goes more smoothly and is followed by an approval.

A co-worker of mine has an interview the same day. They applied almost two years ago. Their interview notice got lost in the mail, they had to reopen their case and all that stuff. So hopefully it will be a positive day for both.

Good luck on the 11th MsA! I couldn't remember why you had to have another interview so I hunted in the thread. I can't believe you were treated that way for falling in love with someone who happened to have a criminal background! Like you said, he did his time and the IO was a b*tch for judging your marriage based on that. I truly hope you get someone who DOESN'T stoop to that level and are approved! I also hope the offending IO gets some sort of action against them for what she pulled.

so today was the big day and the interview couldnt go any better ... very nice AO (i mean it could not get any worst than the first interview!!!) by 9am we were finished and on our way back home ... the AO has told us we would get a written decision within the next few days ... blah blah blah ... we both felt good bout it and decided to get early lunch before we drove home! what a great surprise while we were having lunch .... i have received an email from USCIS informing me that MY CARD PRODUCTION WAS ORDERED ... about an hour after the interview!!!! i still cant believe it but it says it right there so after all we might be the last one to finish but we did it .... and the DAO could not believe it when i told her what had happened the first time and she is going to look into that matter!!! she apologized on behalf of the USCIS ... i am just happy bout the news right now and cant wait to receive my card!!!
