Most drug stores have printing available from a disk or flash drive of photos that are any size

You need to make sure the digital files are set to print at the right size. We did this with my wife's photos. She had the pictures taken in her country and had them scanned. Then she emailed them to me and I set them up in a Photoshop comp so they could be printed on a standard 4" x 6" print. Then I simply cut them down to the right size on a paper cutter. This saved a huge amount of time and money on international shipping. Also, if I need more copies, I simply print them. Also, You might want to take any future pictures without a date stamp.

If you need any help doing this, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Good luck,

CG

thanks for the suggestion guys

we did that once in the past, but Chris is always so busy that I think it's trouble enough for him to have all the document copies set ou together... Even to get him to write an email or call USCIS is a pain, so I try to leave as least as possible for him to do...

He has set up a Fedex account so that I can just send stuff and have it charged to him, he doesn't mind paying for it, so the only disadvantage is wasting a couple of days with shipping... but i guess 3 days more isn't so much

anyways, I shipped the pictures today ( no timestamp :P, it's funny, in Brazil they wouldn't accept pictures without timestamp) ... I think we'll be good to send the I-129f on tuesday.

We send it to the same place where the I-130 is pending(CSC), and not to Chicago anymore, right?

Thats right:

Section 12 of the I-129F instructions lists where you should mail the completed form(s). For a K-3 Visa you should send the I-129F to the Service Center where the the underlying I-130 petition is currently pending.

Therefore you should send it to CSC :)

FYI,

Sent I-130 to CSC on Aug 16, rec'd by them Aug 17.

Check cleared today - case is visible online. Expecting NOA1 in mailbox any day. Their "receive date" is Sept 25.

39 days from receipt of I-130 to generation of NOA1 - 41 days for notification (via cleared check).

It looks like I-129s are being NOA'd faster at CSC - we'll see how we go.

Yes his is the same for me too, my I-130 receipt date is September 25. As far as the I-129 I am not sure what date they condiserd it since when I looked at the case number online it only listed I-130. I do not think you have another case number, do you? I was going to give it a few days to see if it posts the I-129.

Samira

:D Yeah, the check has cleared, finally! So maybe the letter will be in the mail this afternoon. Does anyone remember which numbers on the check I can use to check my case status? If we have our check cleared today, everyones is coming soon!

Samira

Congrats Samira!!! The letters/numbers on the back of the check or on your NOA-1 start with three letters and then a bunch of numbers. I think the letters depend on where your case was filed. Mine started with WAC (for CSC) and then some numbers. So just use those to add to your portfolio to check your case status on USCIS.

THANKS! :D

I thought the same thing Samira...that the I-129f case would be automatically added on the website and have the same number. My husband told me that the NOA-1 for the I-129f had a different number than the I-130 NOA-1. I had to add that case to our portfolio too using the new number. So in our account on USCIS it shows two petitions pending.

haha that doesnt really make sense... they need to work on the logics of this process :)

guys, do you think we should start a list of late july/august filers so it's easier to keep track on everyone's results?

if you think we should, let's start adding to this, ordering by receipt date and alphabetic

hmmm there arent many options here.... i guess the easiest way to have the table edited and not all displaced is to use this template, and then put it between code tags:

Hey all! Mailed I-130 on Aug 7th and got NOA1 # from the back of Jim's check that went thru today!! Haven't yet received the official NOA1 but at least we know we're finally on our way! Took 45 days for them to approve it and 51 for us to find out! NOA1 is effective Sept 22...good luck to everyone! Wow, what a load off!
