sounds like a multi-tasking test :innocent:

obviously!! :D ofcorse i was 16 and full of energy at the time. now that im 31 and moving a bit slower i have time to read the sign before falling

not in a store, per sae...

when i was 16, i was getting out of a van with some other kids at a gas station... i think i thought there was one of those step rails along the side, but there wasnt... so i fell face first on to a nice new blacktop :( i wasnt concerned about possibly breaking my nose or anything, just that some of the blacktop was embedded in my pores on my nose and it looked like zits

and then when i was 20, i was working at the original pancake house... someone had spilled some coffee on one of the stairs and i slipped going down them... i landed on my butt and my wrist... i wound up going for some therapy for my back and my wrist... and wore a brace for a little while... workmans comp took care of it

when I was in NYC, I went to pick up some groceries and they had just mopped the floor. Some woman proceeds to the checkout and slips right on her a$$ into one of those comedy falls - all her stuff is all over the place. Some woman comes up from behind her while she's still on the ground and says "excuse me, are you in line?" The embodiment of NY rudeness!

So today, we were picking up some items in Wal-Mart.

As background, Wal-Mart has redesigned some of their stores, to include new simulated wood, but "plastic like" flooring in the clothing section.

While in the checkout lane, I realized that I had picked up an item that was incorrect. To save time, I jetted through the clothing section and "wham", I was picking my azz up off the floor.

Seems that some bonehead dropped a plastic hangar on the floor and left it there. This new "plastic like" flooring material, coupled with a plastic hangar is like skiing!! Of course, I was looking to see if anyone noticed....Yep.

Aside from the ache in my neck, I came out ok. No, I will not be suing.

I have never fallen down in a store previously, how about you?

I have never fallen down in a store, but have fallen down other places. Once was in a big college class, down some stairs in the auditorium. :crying: Bruised my knees. Thank God it was the last class of the semester and only 30 or so of the 200 students had arrived so far. That was horrible. It was my stupid shoes fault though.

I fell down stairs once right in front of the boy I was head over heels in love with- the stairs were carpeted and slippery and I landed on my bum and slid right down.

I had a good drunken tumble one night in Mexico- I was coming out of a bathroom and missed a little cement step. I went down on both knees- ripped my tights and had blood dripping down both my legs. A few years later I had a problem with one of my knees- it still acts up from time to time. I have always wondered if it was because of that fall.

Another time I was walking down a busy street- I was wearing huge platform shoes and the side of them caught a rock and down I went. Cars started honking and people were laughing at me.

I worry constantly here in Louisiana- the roads and sidewalks are pretty bad in most places- especially in the French Quarter- I have to always look down when I am walking.

Last time I fell I remember I was leaving the gym and it was snowing and it was my first and only fall on snow. I was actually excited about it, cuz it never happened to me before and everything here in the States was new :P I don't think anybody saw it, though, that would make me feel really embarassed

Glad you're ok William.

I fell in a store once, but my mom tripped me purposely, lol. We were in a dubious area with lots of crime and we ran into a Wal-Mart there. A couple of helium balloons in the store popped, my mom thought it was gunfire, so she tripped me and as I fell, she threw herself ontop of me.

I'm a total airhead and have fallen at several stores and casinos while I lived in Vegas. I also walked right into a glass window at a department store thinking that was the exit. I swear, the window was so clean I didn't even see it.:lol:
