Hello Everyone,

I'm reaching out for your assistance with an urgent matter regarding my naturalization interview with USCIS. I had a combo interview for my N-400 and I-751 today, but the officer interviewed myself and my wife and didn't proceed with my naturalization interview. At the end of the interview officer said he needs to review my immigration history and if they need something they will get back to me. Isn’t he suppose to perform the naturalization interview as well?

Please have this happened before? I came in with Marriage Visa btw.

Sounds like you only had I-751 interview and most likely will be scheduled for N-400 interview again.

But I thought i would do a combo interview? And why did he say he wanted to review my immigration history cos I came in with a marriage visa. He also asked if I had an EAD before, I told him no. I came in with an immigrant visa

You are from a very high fraud country, but it is normal to review all immigration history.  The combo interview is not guaranteed.  If they have questions or cannot approve the ROC, then they wouldn't proceed to the N400 interview, as it would be a waste of time.

This is my very first visa. I was denied K1 and then we did the spousal visa. I’ll let you all know how it goes.

thanks a lot 🙏

That's also what I think.

The country of origin and we know what is going on presently between the two countries.

Is there anything that pup's up negativity during the interview?

Because it seems to me like the cancellation of the N-400 interview comes from the officer himself.

He just said he wanted to review my immigration history and they will let me know if they need anything from me.

It's gonna be okay after reviewing your immigration history.

I think that that something was missing there.

That's why I guess he asked the question relates to the work permit, meanwhile you entered the USA with an immigrant status entitled to a green Card; Not a working permit.

I think he wants to sort this out before rescheduling the N-400 interview.

There you go.  That could be what they are looking at.  Any contact with USCIS triggers a review of your entire immigration history.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Yes he also asked me “did you file k1 petition”? We said yes but we were denied so we married and filed spousal.
