Adjustment of Status - Fiance Visa

My partner came here on a Fiance Visa. We married in the 90-day window and filed for Adjustment of Status. That is in process now. At some point, we anticipate we'll be asked to go for interviews. We are a same-sex couple and, under this current "administration," we are worried we will be subjected to extra scrutiny. Has anyone done an Adjustment of Status interview recently? What sort of evidence do we need to be prepared to provide? We've tried to follow the rules, but right now, that may not be sufficient. Do we need to be prepared to bring photos, videos, documents? Any advice is appreciated.

Bring your original marriage certificate, certainly.  If you have a little extra, you can bring it.

Unless instructions have changed (read them carefully and interpret them literally), little evidence is required.

Advance thoughts:  It's never too early to think about removing conditions on the green card.  Take every piece of evidence physically coming in that indicates your shared life together, and throw it into a box.  Do the same thing digitally in a computer folder.  By ROC time, you'll have a smorgasbord of evidence to support the filing.

In addition (actually, before anything), shop for a lawyer who can draft wills, medical & financial powers of attorney, and similar estate documents.  These make superlative evidence for ROC, and they're even more crucial to have in "life."  Remember that if you move from one U.S. state to another, your wills may need to be redone.

Nothing has changed.... I know 5 different same sex couples who had their interviews within the last 3 months and all have been approved with no difficulty. Bring updated bonafides of your marriage to the interview (Co-mingled finances, evidence you both live at the same address, joint utility bills, photos of you both with friends/family, wills/medical power of attorney, etc.) Also, scan and upload this evidence to the "Unsolicited Evidence" tab in the portal. The interview notice will tell you the documents to bring but what I listed is a good description. Do not give yourself extra stress by falling into the trap of being afraid of all the "Trump Admin Boogeyman" fear mongering out there. Is this administration enforcing policies and laws that were previously left unenforced? Yes. Are they changing the INA and denying same sex couples adjustment of status that have followed the rules and have no bars to adjustment? Absolutely not. Dedicate your energies to gathering the aforementioned evidence, live your lives and you will be fine.

There is no evidence to support your concern.  I've seen no reports of any change....except that all cases now are scheduled for an interview.
