Hello, I'm trying to see if I have a chance of being approved for DCF processing.

I, USC, and husband, Chinese, have 3 kids together. We have been in China for 8 years and my family would like us to move to the US asap.

They would like to hire me as a live-in caregiver for my soon to be 90 year old grandma.

1) Could a lawyer issue me a job contract on behalf of my gma's estates?

2) Does it matter what company issues the job contract?

3) What information must be included in the contract?

You can try it, but it sounds quite shady to me.

If legitimate I would pursue it.  My wife works in home healthcare and oftentimes family members are hired to take care of aging family members.  Yes, I would have her estate lawyer look at the situation and see if it is possible.

Good Luck!

DCF is discretionary

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Presumably you have experience in caregiving which is why they want you to do it? So make sure you include proof of that, to show it's a genuine job offer and not just one made up by family to get you to the US sooner. Include your resume and pay stubs from previous care jobs, plus anything else relevant.
