Returned to casa and up-signed Uncle T-B. on a cheap Medicare Part D plan for next year, F$WM.

Dessert was onecan of baked beans***, ingest we man.

A late siesta was a frustrating failure, no zzz and :ranting: we man.

No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man.

Now they think they can sell the house and move in these so called senior buildings. They have no savings can barely make it as is. Bad news is they can't afford this and now I'm 100% positive they will think they can move in with us.

Maybe they'd get enough for the land that they could afford a tiny home.  Not that you want the inlaws right outside, but better than IN your house, perhaps?

Bad profane seafaring mam ma'am!  Bad, BAD profane PROFANE seafaring SEAFARING mam ma'am!  :bonk:

It got worse when the (insert profanity) EZ Fiber contractors hit the Always Terrible & Telephones fiber, leaving us with no interwebz.  Hubs put in a ticket on the AT&T system on Tuesday evening for a Wednesday appointment.  The rep shows up at our door and shakes his head, apologizes and says "I see the problem here".  He called back to HQ and told them it's not an individual line in issue, but a much larger one caused by (morons).  At least AT&T under promised and over delivered.  The anticipated time for restoration was this morning but around 6pm, Kid2 noticed his wifi was working on his device.  He rejoiced because, well, kids these days don't know what it's really like to have to self entertain like we did before interwebz existed.

Working yesterday while tethered to my phone was less than fun.  We talked about back up wifi but honestly, we shouldn't have to fork over the cash for that.  AT&T has a robust system with power back up that even when Centerpoint can't provide power for homes, AT&T can for their fiber.  During Beryl last year when we were powered by generator, we had interwebz (yet again, another reason the teenagers descended upon our home - AC & interwebz go a long way!).

These companies should be put to a vote - do we want them to come in and rip up our yards for their services?  If the majority say no, that's a hard pass.  Precovid, sure, I'd have potentially voted for them but that was because we had one option for fast interwebz.  Since then, we've had 2 other fiber companies install, so this is a third.  Evidently enough, the first ones that brought services in hit the trunk line for our former ISP and damaged it to a point that our previously robust, reliable service became horribly unreliable.

See, many reasons to take up profane seafaring.  Or, maybe it's just flashbacks to my oil patch days.  Like sailors, patch workers speak a similar language!

I would say most ppl need a will. Pll who don't have two cents to scratch together who live in what might as well be a homesless camps do not. There is no reason to have one. They have nothing to pass down, nothing at all.

Sometime.. this month I think? I heard a thud. You know what has happened when the thud occurs.. Yes, he fell again, this time quite a lot of blood and somehow narrowly missed hitting his head on the toilet. 911 again, with neighbors gawking. I tell the hospital, please don't kick him out, because if you do we will just be on repeat. But of course, they never listen. They send the nurse over who is nice enough but then starts asking questions about why he's falling so much and the level of care. It was hard to keep my composure. I can't keep explaining enough about how many doctors he sees that all have an 'opinion' on his condition. One adds a medication, another removes it. Others don't take it seriously. Dad doesn't listen, I can't make him listen. He gets hostile and on top of everything else I'm dealing with I can't force a grown-### elderly man to do something he doesn't want to do. They asked have I considered putting him in a home or getting a full time nurse. On what planet do you think poor people can afford these things? What home? The one the hospital tried putting him into that was filthy and inhumane? The nurses they send are so useless. Within hours of them leaving, I'm having to rebandage everything. It took seven months for his last injury to heal. That new skin that had him looking like a burn patient? All destroyed again.

I really have to hand it to my grandparents man.. they never expected their kids to be their sole caregivers when they got old. They had everything planned for. Something got lost in translation with the next generation I guess. .

Also wills are important for most people I think. When Dad goes I *know* my siblings are going to have one heck of a fight because he refused to get one. My grandma used to tell me a story about how our family once had a lawsuit about a single piece of porcelain once someone passed.

I'm so sorry, my father had many falls and they kept sending him home too. Mid August a DR in the ER ordered a CT scan but it wasn't scheduled until Sept 27. So many doctors all saying different things. I started checking his BP and it was the reason of the falls nut it was a symptom of a bigger issue they wouldn't dig to find out. Took him completely off the PB meds since it kept dropping to 80/60 ish. Still did not help. It look like he was having a seizure, but it was fainting spells due to low PB. Every time the ambulance came they sent him home with nothing more to do. Then in Sept he spikes a fever and run more tests and see he's sepsis and has compartmental pneumonia and finally did a CT scan on him seeing this huge mass in his chest. It's not in his lungs eating away at everything, it is squishing and cutting off circulation to everything.  The first one was scheduled too far out and they couldn't wait. ( no Sherlock)

So two rounds of Covid and TB tests kept him in isolation (another delay) leading up to ^ weeks in delays They already new he had a mass and pneumonia but every time he got a new doctor they would reorder these dang stupid test and that would lock him down again until the test would come back clear. He finally got 2 rounds of radiation but sadly we have no idea what is actually in his check. As two biopsies have found no cancer markers. They wanted to send him to another town to do ultrasound guided biopsy (they did this already but my guess is that doctor was now off so they have to ship him out. I can guaranty they would have played the same games with putting him in isolation again and delaying things to make sure he got too sick for further treatments. I can really see the lack of proper care in Canada now, after seeing it with my own eyes twice. They are really doing the bare minimum to make it look like they are trying to help. One of the first doctors mention removing the mass and the left lung since he can live without it. Well guess what the other doctors say no, it can't be done. It's total bull. Today my sister gets a call from the nurse and it sounds like they are in the process of sending him home.

My father has a will and that is not going to stop the ####### my one sister is going to pull.

My inlaws really did not need a will. They probably have some payment plan they can barely afford to pay to this lawyer. They have no real assets, the house is a liability and they have no money in the bank. Both of their boys would want nothing they leave behind.

Thrilling Thursday report, see man:

We had big plans for the day, si man.

These all got hosed, :ranting: man.

Lunch was one giant ham-&-cheese sandwich, ingest we man.

We set forth to construct our GS/ES itinerary, normally routine man.

We always print maps in case our GPS goes aysheep, often-useful backup man.

However, Bing Maps has apparently gone full-time to its new Beta version, unwieldy & unprintable man.

Previously, we were able to clear browser history & caches & usually return to classic version, relief man.

This time, nothing worked, no man.

We couldn't even get into AAA TripTik, emergency backup man.

Mapquest & Google Maps have always been useless to print, far too spread-out man.

Why must developers always take something perfectly fine and hose it to prove their own worth, huh and :ranting: man?

After Many tries, we consulted ChatGPT for 2 hours, much infuriating discussion but no ultimate help man.

The useless AI idiot did get us into AAA TripTik, at least man.

We then asked ChatGPT why Google Maps on our phone gives visual but no audible instructions, :ranting: man.

The AI idiot instructed us in ways that should have worked, si man.

It worked initially when we tried it at our desk, promising man.

However, it did not work when we tried it while actually driving, back to Square Zero man.  :ranting:

Why must all this be so difficult, huh man?

Went to visit Mama T-B., her request man.

She promised only a Many-minute visit, yeah right man.

The staff notices that we arrive friendly but always leave shell-shocked, accurate evaluation man.

Did go to Costco Business Center, just an exit or two up man.

Got Many (2+2+2) items, Many (2+2) more than contemplated man.

Got sales book for Manyvember, study same upon casa arrival we man.

Just like regular Costco, not ONE desirable quick-food product is on sale all month, :ranting:  :ranting:  :ranting: man.

Miu was demanding* and needy*, service needy demanding miu we man.

*as since the precise minute Mini-B. left, not unusual man

Din-din was MTG, ingest we man.

We finally dished the warsher, Many (2+2) days overdue man.

A late siesta was then taken, at least some redemption to the day man.

No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man.

We have itineraried Many (2+1) far-away ESs for Friday, itinerary we man.

One is in favorite medium-sized town, at least there's that man.

We shall return casa-ward through FST, at least there's that man.

Of course, something shall probably hose the day or the trip, optimistic we man.

And that was/is our oh-so-thrilling Thursday, report and :ranting:  we man.
