The journey is over. The ceremony was on 6/10 and it was a judicial ceremony( as I requested), held at the JFK Presidential library in Boston. I applied for my US passport today and will have it in hand in a couple of days.

I can't believe this is over, after struggling with a K-1 visa during COVID an being part of the Milligan et al. v. Pompeo lawsuit.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have and good luck!

Congrats! Make sure to update SSA with your citizenship status

Hello everyone,

I submitted my N-400 online a few days ago under the three-year rule (I’m married to a U.S. citizen), received a biometric reuse notice and my case changed status to `case is being actively reviewed by USCIS`. Estimate decision time on the portal ~6 months. I still have I-751 in the same `case is being actively reviewed by USCIS` since January 2024 so I also submitted a request for a combo interview.

Timeline:

Jan 7 – submitted case online,

Jan 7 – received NOA1 with case #,

Jan 7 – received biometric reuse letter.

Best of luck to everyone :)

Jun 16 – an interview is scheduled for Jul 21,

Also, UCSIC has recently approved my 751 without an interview, and the card was produced on Jun 10.

Does anyone know if we can bring our 1yo daughter to the interview? The interview is at 7:30 am, and we won't be able to drop her off at the daycare that early. We're trying to explore our options.

I would strongly advice not to bring a small baby to the interview. Not every officer likes kids. Especially if you filed under 3 year rule, there's still a chance of both spouses being interviewed. You don't want it to turn into stokes interview because of officer asking one parent to wait outside with the kid.

Yeah, it makes sense. Thank you!

We wonder how common or rare are 751s without interview, it happened to us also, (back in 2018), but we are kind of worried because we assumed it was an administrative mistake and just kept quiet to see what happens at the interview for citizenship.

I got I-751 approved without interview. It does happen to many cases. You should not be worried at all about this.

We were approved for i-751 last year without interview as well.  We got interviewed for i-485 adjustment of status though.

Finally! Interview scheduled for next week at the Los Angeles field office. Had requested expedited scheduling on the 28th of May, action was taken on 9th of June. Called each week and was told I would be contacted by Tier 2, never was.

Used a JSON I’d never seen before for processing times on Friday which showed that an interview had been scheduled with a countdown of 6 days. There was no confirmation of this on the USCIS panel, no letter had been received and no action had been taken using the JSON for case service.

Took the code from the links below and fed it into ChatGPT for the breakdown. Hope this helps others.

How did you request expedited scheduling?
