N-400 December 2024 Filers

Hello. I had my interview, was approved and had the same day oath. Boston. Everybody I encountered was nice and friendly. It was a long wait from December, but the interview was fine and everything that day went smoothly. The civics questions were a random mix, answered all, the writing portion was easy. I updated travel since application, no documents were asked for apart from passport I on, green card and current passport, but i had a lot of docs with me. My case is relatively uncomplicated though, so your situation may be different.  The ceremony was sweet. Most people (it was early in the day) were not same day oath and it was a lovely mix of friendly people in celebratory mood. Good luck everyone.

Received my interview date today for mid August. Have a question for those who were awaiting their I-751 removal on conditions on greencard. My online account shows action taken on the N-400 but nothing on the I-751. Is this normal and should i go to the interview prepared for a 'combo' (have only heard that terms on here and not sure what it entails exactly). Im assuming my spouse should accompany me also?

 

Last but not least. Any recommendations outside of the items listed on the letter they sent that are good to bring along as extra information if needed?

Normal. I would, absolutely, start preparing for a combo interview.  Make sure your spouse attends also.  In our case, my wife was informed only 2 days prior to her N-400 interview that it would be a combination.  Some people are not notified until they show up.  For the I-751 part of the interview, our officer wanted to see evidence of a bona fide marriage from date of original I-751 submission until day of interview.  That included driver licenses, leases, bank statements, etc.  He also wanted to see any travel documents (ADIT stamps) my wife used.  Good luck.

Here is the email my wife received 2 days prior to her N-400 interview.  Not everyone gets one:

 

"USCIS Applicant,

 

This email is in reference to your upcoming interview at the Dallas Field Office, it is for an I751(Petition to Remove Conditions) and N400 (Application for Naturalization) combination. It is imperative that your spouse accompany you to this interview, also that you bring proof of a marital union. Please refer to https://www.uscis.gov/i-751 for examples.

 

We look forward to meeting each you both at your interview in the near future."

Hello everyone. I filed N-400 on December 24th 2024 and did my biometrics on January 14 2025. I live in South Carolina but I'm near Charlotte North Carolina so I suppose that Charlotte is my office. I still haven't heard anything about my interview, so I hope everything is still normal. It seems very slow to me. Anybody else here from Charlotte or have any input?

Do you have I-751 pending?

Is this application under 3 year rule or 5 year rule?

I see, for Charlotte, the processing times say 80% of cases within 7.5 months. I hope you get movement soon.
