I think this is one of my biggest fears while living away from my parents.

My mom called ( my parents are in their mid 80s) My dad was taken by Ambulance tonight with a very bad infection (septic shock) . She said that right now they are just trying to make him comfortable. Have him hooked up to IVs. They not sure what will happen next. I wish I could fly there and be with them but that's just not possible.

So if ya have an extra prayer hangin around could ya use it for him?

Hi, just an update, He's still in the hospital but doing a bit better.

It's hard when your parents are in there 80s and being so far away from them. My mom has the beginning stages of Alzheimers and it's really tough to talk to her on the phone. She repeats things over & over. It's hard when I don't have that many minutes left on my phone . I drerad the day when she won't remember me. She sometimes forgets and calls me by my sisters name.
