First of all, congrats to you, meddykomp! That's good news, they are moving on!!

Now austin, touched refers to an update. Once you register at uscis.gov, you can see, when your case was last updated. It isn't necessarily a change, can be one but could just be the same ol' message you had before.. but the date moved forward. This is referred to as a "touch".

I am a newbe, where do you follow your case? On INS Office web page? Do I just use the case number they mail me in NOA1? I want to make sure....It seems that thier processing times are not always updated or accurate. Is it even worth a while to keep checking the status online??

Go here. You can set up an account and then log in for updates or set it up so they'll email you. That said, it seems some peoples' cases don't appear online, and some people get approved wthout getting touched.

Today is been 53 days since NOA-1 for I-129F and only been *touch* once and others have been updated twice or three times , and others are approved in 2 or 3 weeks and some it took over 2 months. I wonder , WHY????? who dictates our lifes with our Spouses at Immigration ???

I just came back from Colombia visiting my wife and we both feel in agony for the physical absence that we have to face and the uncertanty of the famous NOA-2. I just hope and wish for those who are in the same position as us that the APPROVAL arrives soon.

My NOA1 was on Nov 29 and approval was Apr 4, there was quite some time in between the 2. Some reps may be more thorough than others and people work at different speeds. It's no fun for us that have to wait, but there isnt much else we can do.
