UK Muslims Demand Voting Age Be Lowered To 13 So Their Wives Can Vote

 

LONDON — In a protest to make the nation's democratic process more inclusive, Muslims in the United Kingdom marched to demand that the voting age be lowered to 13 so their wives would be able to vote.

Following intense debate on the wisdom and necessity of lowering the voting age in the UK, lawmakers agreed that there could be a case to be made for making it legal for the child brides of the country's millions of Muslim residents to vote in elections.

Been hearing about this for sometime.  Seems to be spreading to Canada to some extent, and more than likely to the EU.  It is interesting that the examples shown were favored Leftist/Labor issues.

Take the case of Marianne Sorrell: An 80-year-old retired teacher who was arrested in Cardiff for silently holding a placard at a peaceful pro-Palestine rally. She was detained and held in custody for nearly 27 hours. Police searched her home, seizing items such as books, percussion instruments, and a walking stick. Her bail conditions even barred her from returning to Wales.

 

Her crime? Quietly dissenting.

 

Then came Jon Farley: A 67-year-old former teacher in Leeds who, at a Gaza vigil, held up a cartoon from “Private Eye” — Britain’s longest-running satirical magazine, famed for lampooning politicians and exposing hypocrisy.

 

The cartoon in question was mocking the government’s anti-terror rhetoric. And in response, Farley was arrested under the Terrorism Act 2000, handcuffed and interrogated for hours. “I was searched and treated like a criminal — for holding a satirical cartoon,” he said. And when he explained where the cartoon came from, by his account, the officers just looked blank.

I have been watching this for as long as I can remember certainly well before woke, nothing has happened of consequence, doubt anything will in the near future

1984 wasn’t a prediction of the future, it was a reflection of the UK in 1948, when it was written. Like it or not, the UK has never had freedom of speech.

 

London has the most CCTV cameras by area outside of Asia. The UK has always been a surveillance state.

Nowhere has freedom of speech does amuse me how things have changed you enact policies that have negative impacts double down and then here comes the surveillance when there is the blowback
