Usually it takes 30 to 90 days. Like Rhema1 said it might has to do with your country of origin since it is one of the ban countries. How was your interview? How would you rate officer's behavior towards you? Did he say anything at the end of your interview?

It was weird, he asked some questions about my abuser but not about the abuse. it didn't last more than 15mins. then he gave me this document.

Compliments of the season to you all!

It has been a while that I wrote in here, even though I’ve been reading all the updates as much as I can. And I also never updated you all on my case.

Our green card was approved in April after the mandamus I filed. The journey was long 2017 - 2025, but this platform helped me tremendously through it all! Thank you. (For those that don’t know the story, please check my previous posts).

Also, my son joined the army in October and just last week became a citizen! I now have 2 citizens! Glory be to God!

Just want to encourage anyone out there still going through the process or about starting. There will be bumps along the way and naysayers, hold on to your truth and stand tightly by it. There is light around the corner!

Please share your complete story this will encourage the others

Was the recording on during the interview? If yes then it will most probably to go the supervisor to review the file. The officer who took your interview was not able to make a decision. So this will go another officer and or a supervisor to review and approve it. If it was recorded the clips will be played multiple times to make an assessment. Not trying to scare you but this one is familiar.

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. I just wanted to kindly ask for confirmation from the experienced members here.

If someone is filing VAWA concurrently, meaning I-360 (VAWA) together with I-485, I-765, and I-131 in one package, do all of these forms need to be sent to the following USCIS address?

USCIS
Attn: 1367
P.O. Box 8075
Chicago, IL 60680-8075

I would really appreciate your guidance and confirmation. Thank you so much in advance for your help and support.

Yes depends on where he/she lives. If it is for you and you reside in NY then that is the correct address.

Follow this link based on your resident state.

Wednesday means that it's time for our hilarious Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

I'd go on a diet, but that seems like an insult to the fine folks who make and distribute cheesecake, and I, for one, won't stand for that.

My favorite day of the week to exercise will always be tomorrow.

:P

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

One of my close friends is a victim of abuse and is preparing to file their case for the first time. We are looking for guidance from anyone who has experience with this process.

We would sincerely appreciate help with the following:
• How to properly organize the file from the beginning

• Preparing the covering letter

• Required forms and the correct order

• Drafting the personal statement of the abuse victim

• Including evidence such as medical or battery records

• Proof of a good-faith marriage

• Abuser’s citizenship documents and moral character evidence

. good moral character of the applicant

We would also like guidance on technical details, such as whether page numbering using a pencil is acceptable or if another method is recommended.

Any guidance, resources, or advice would be deeply appreciated. Your support could truly help someone who has already been through a very difficult situation.

She must draft the personal statement. This section provides numerous helpful tips.

THE BLONDE IN THE LIBRARY

A blonde in a library approached the librarian and said, "I'll have a cheeseburger and fries, please!"

The librarian responded, "You know that you're in a library, correct?"

The blonde said, "Oh, sorry. [in a whisper] I'll have a cheeseburger and fries, please."
