You should be fine without lawyer. They should only ask you yes/no questions. If they ask you anything related to VAWA and you are uncomfortable with it you can always ask for a supervisor.

A woman visited her husband in prison.  They had a long talk, and then the guard told them that their time was over.

 

The woman got up to leave, but before she reached the door, she said to the correction officer, "You shouldn't make my husband work so hard -- he's exhausted!"

 

The officer laughed.  "Work?  Ma'am, all he does is eat, sleep, and sit in his cell.  He doesn't even go outside in the yard!"

I finished my interview a few hours ago. The officer asked questions about my ex spouse and my current abuser. I was very uncomfortable. My lawyer was able to join via phone call. The officer was happy i did not come with a lawyer and when i showed him the paperwork for them to allow my lawyer virtually, he was not happy about it. My lawyer said he probably wanted to become unprofessional. He asked me if i paid my abuser for marriage green card? When was the last time we lived together, when did i live with my ex spouse etc. before he finally moved on to the yes/no questions. Then he gave me the form checked with (2) A decision cannot yet be made about your application/petition.

I don't know what to think? Also, does anyone know if their case tracker is working? Mine is not.

Your country of origin has a lot to do with this.

That's what I really think.

But let's just hope for a better ending in all this.

I'm sorry to hear this, I agree with @Rhema1 and unfortunately being from such a high fraud country will have had an impact on your case. 

 

It's not clear though, was your lawyer able to join via phone?

My immigration journey officially ENDED today after my oath of allegiance ceremony this afternoon in Irving Texas field office.

I'm now officially a US CITIZEN.

Bring all documents you have that demonstrate a bona fide marriage and evidence of abuse.
