I don't have a pending I-485. I have a VAWA I-360 to send in tomorrow. I ticked the EAD box on the I 360. I want to send in the I-360 without the the I-485 to speed up getting work authorization. I did a Google of the address to send it and noticed an email address, so I spent 6 hours converting my documents to pdf to send electronically last Tuesday only to get an email back last Friday saying I'd sent them to the wrong email address.

Yes I am a spouse of a US citizen. If I sent a I-485 with my VAWA I could get work authorization faster?

You are doing a great mistake.

You will get work permit( C31) through the form I-360 ONLY after your vawa is approved and it may take even 3 years.

The only way to get an EAD (C9) is only when a form I-485 is filed or pending.

You are a spouse of a US citizen and should be okay by submitting a form I-485 so that you can the best EAD category(C09) while waiting for your I-360 to proceed.

DON'T DO THAT GREAT MISTAKE TO SEND ONLY A FORM I-360.

So I'll send my VAWA with I-360 and I-485 form. Do I have to send I-765 Application for Employment Authorization or any other forms?

Yes you need you send i-765 which is EAD application with it and i-131 for travel documents (i-131 is optional if you need to travel, however, no body is recommending to travel lately).

Okay, I'll send I-765, I-912 fee waiver with I-360 VAWA and I-485.

I-131 to leave options open to work back home, I need a car to see my kids, they live out in the sticks. My plan is to rent closer to them, working back home would get me faster money than the US (exchange rate) but my kids wouldn't like me to leave, they wouldn't think I'd make it back. Hopefully I'll be able to stay put. Thank you.
