Wednesday means that it's time for our highly effective, approval-evoking* Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

     *that is, if correlation = causation

============================================

GARDEN OF EDEN

Eve, in the Garden of Eden, said, "God, I have a problem.  This garden is beautiful, but I'm lonely and sick of eating apples."

"OK," God said.  "I'll create a man for you."

"What's a man?" asked Eve.

'He's a creature with aggressive tendencies and an enormous ego.  He doesn't listen and gets lost a lot, but he's big and strong, he can open jars and hunt animals, and occasionally he's fun."

"Sounds great!" said Eve.

"There's one more thing," said God.  "He's going to want to believe that I made him first."

Hello all, I wrote an expedite request to Vermont for my EAD and I485 (with 290B pending ). Do they really respond and expedite?

this morning I went the congressman office and did another expedite request with them. My employer already told me to stop work next month when my current EAD expires

Good thing you reached out to your congress person. To make your case stronger get a letter from your employer. This will help you get the expedite faster.

Yes I sent the letter of my employer in the expedite request I sent to USCIS. do you mean I should submit the letter of my employer to the congressman too? I just signed the consent form and put receipt numbers of my i485 and i765

Congressman cannot request an expedite.

get proof of what employer stated and have it ready to fax it in.

you can do an expedite request for EAD online.

Yes give your employer letter to your congress person. They will let USCIS know. I have done that in the past and i was able to get my EAD quickly.

If they decide not to expedite, they won't inform you about it.
