Absolute Psychopath Lets Microwave Count Down All The Way To Zero

CRAIGSVILLE, VA — According to sources, a local man has cooked his food in a microwave and allowed the timer to count all the way down to zero.  Locals reported being disturbed by this clearly psychopathic behavior.

Though the town's residents rarely felt threatened in their daily lives, finding out that this man does not open the microwave door before the timer hits zero and begins to beep left many people wondering what other horrific things that man may be doing.  [...]

I let it go to 0:00 for popcorn...only because I have found that getting the perfect popping time is by pressing the popcorn button followed by two presses of the "add 30 seconds" button.

For the Costco house-brand popcorn, I pick 2 different times:  either 3:07 or 2:67.  Have to let the oven run down because the popcorn has to cool for a bit, and because I'm usually watching TV while it pops.

When I'm nuking something but I head toward the microwave too early to coincide with the finish, I'll watch the timer and mentally name the prime factors for each second that ticks down:

 :41 = prime

 :40 = 2, 5

 :39 = 3, 13

 :38 = 2, 19

 :37 = prime

 :36 = 6 squared

 :35 = 5, 7

 

etc.  Perhaps psycho, but it sure helps with the impatience.
