It's accurate for the lucky 80%. Sounds like you are in the 20%. I'm in the 20% pile for November and still no NOA2.  But it looks like they going back to November now, so maybe December will get looked at again in a couple of weeks.

Hello,

I was wondering if the visa journey estimate for approval of the k1 visa is accurate? My Fiancée and I got our NOA1 on December 11th, 2023, Visa journey is stating that between September 9th and 21st 2024 we should receive notification if our k1 visa has been approved, I really don't want to get my hopes up. Did anyone else's NOA2 happen around the same time visa journey expected? Thanks!

As time goes by, your "estimate" is going to shift. The initial estimate we had (during the height of the covid garbage) was 8.5 months. Over time that date kept moving and eventually it was 15+ months from NOA1 to NOA2. Focus on other things like preparing for things you might need once your K1 has been approved. Use this time to have your fiancé collect documents/records they might need once in the US.

No it isn’t accurate. It’s an estimate as stated. It may take less or more. Just baseline for you to follow so you have a rough idea of what to expect. It isn’t exact
