Hello all, I had a question.

For the I129, proof of relationship, does it all need to be printed or do they accept any digital records? Ex. Word docs, etc.

Also, should I include a record of text messages too ?

Thanks,

Jon

The I129F is still filed by paper, so anything you include in that submission must be printed out.

Good Luck!

They prefer seeing copies (do not send originals at this point)  of real life meeting

a few photos together

boarding passes to show the visit(s)

A few messages from start and a few to show continue chats (it seems chats have only been important when a CO suspects a timeframe of 1st meeting online)

1 page letter to say how u met and in - person meeting and listing of any additional visits

Best to say what country because each embassy has special needs

like ours would be a photo of USC and moroccan mother to show an approval of family

Thanks Dashinka!

Do they prefer a log of text messages as well??

Where are you getting the idea that those things/proof of relationship is required for a K-1?  You need high quality evidence of the one required in-person meeting in the immediate two years prior to filing.

Ok, and since I am filing in the USA, I assume everything should be in ENGLISH....

If you are going to do this yourself, you need to become a student of the process.  You need to read the instructions carefully.  One item in the instructions stipulates that any evidence submitted that is not in English needs to be accompanied by a translation.

So English is the default language but if you have evidence not in English you have a way to work around it.
