Hi guys,

I filed CR1 about 11 months ago and have been waiting ever since...One month ago I filed K3 as someone told me it MIGHT speed things up.

Today I got the letter I-797C stating that I forgot to write my wife family name in one of the fields. They sent me the whole packet back. Do I simply write her family name in the missing field and resend the packet to them or should the K3 application be filled out all over again?

note - this is for my recently filed K3.

Thank you

The decision on your I-130 should be made in next few months, why even bother with K3 at this point?

Took us almost 12 months. As recently as of May this year.

It took us 11 months, completed in June of this year. It seems most people are on track for one year lately for 130. Those estimate times are nonsense. Mine did the same thing-dropped down to like 3 weeks, then shot up to a few months, then approved while still saying a few months left to process.

It took us almost 11 months, our approval came from Taxes processing center in August 2023, no K3s.

From other people's experience usually it takes about 2 months to process K3 (if it's even successful), so I don't see the point now, but yep, you can send the package back.

Yes, just correct the form and send again.
