My wife and I both passed our interviews today!

Some notes while it's still fresh

- traffic fines do count. Bring evidence of payment

- the number of times you've been married includes your current one - so when asked how many times your spouse has been married, it's 1 not 0 😅

- if you ever owe money to the IRS, even if you pay it immediately and has no payment plan they want to see evidence of payment. So bring the Account Transcript from the IRS for the latest year showing a balance of zero

Thanks @Mike Ed for suggesting bringing tax records! We didn't submit the account transcript initially, but my wife's interviewer was kind enough to let her give me a call so I can send it to her then she uploaded it. I had all the transcripts downloaded just in case but initially only submitted the Tax Return ones per IRS guidance.

Since we requested legal name change, we'll get our oath appointment later. Otherwise looks like they do ceremonies in the same building too (Chicago Field Office)

Hi, what we’re the issues with traffic tickets? How best to handle in the interview?

You need to declare them and, if it is over $500, bring documented proof of payment. I brought them anyway even though they were under the threshold.

So that question in the checklist - have you been arrested, cited etc - the answer would have been yes.

Parking tickets don't count as I understand it, moving violations do

I had my N400 interview on the 7/28. My interview was virtual but the funny part is the face of the office was cover by placing a page on half od the ipad screen. A second ipad was used for the reading and writing test. I received a letter saying my application is being sent for approval but my USCIS online account still shows Interview was scheduled. How long does it it take before the status is changed? And my office was Washington DC, how long does it take to schedule an Oath?

I'm still patiently waiting and trying to not worry. I check the online portal a few times every week and nothing changes there. It still says they are actively reviewing my case 😬 I'm also waiting for ROC since Feb 2022. Yey for anxiety.

It's lovely seeing fellow March-2023 N400 filers having their interviews scheduled and moving quickly though, and ROC i751 Feb 2022 filers receiving their green cards.

I’m in similar situation with no online status update and waiting for update after interview. Any updates on your end? My interview was on 7/31

I filed ROC 751 in 02/2022 and filed N400 in 05/2023 - got a notice on 07/11/ for an interview N400 on 08/24/23. my 751 is still pending though (MSC)

When tomorrow starts without me..

please try to understand, That an Angel came and called

my name, and took me by the hand; The angel said my

place was ready, In Heaven far above, And that I'd have

to leave behind all those I dearly love. But when I walked

through Heaven's Gates, I felt so much at home, for God

looked down, smiled at me, And told me "Welcome Home."

So when tomorrow starts without me,

Don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me,

I'm right there in your heart.

I had my interview on 7/11, was recommended for approval on the n-652 and there's still no online status update. This is so frustrating.
