Expiration date on (MRIV)

Hello everyone,

I'm in the process of getting hired at an academic institution.  HR just sent me this regarding my List A document: machine-readable immigrant visa (MRIV): "Your Visa is expired and we will need a current copy in order to proceed." (so, here we go again).  I guess they are seeing the "IV Expires on" section (in green) and getting confused.  I responded and said that "my visa once stamped is valid for one year from the STAMP date, which will be December 13, 2023". Did I give them the correct information?  I hope I so. Please refer to the attachment here.  Thank you in advance for your help.

Yes, you gave them the correct information, which they can verify by doing a little homework.

@pushbrk thank you so much for your quick response! I also refer them to the USCIS website on this, so fingers crossed. Thanks again!

@hunny&me Did that as well in my email. Thank you!

Also, seems you are referring to the I-9 verification documents.  You can just show your driver's license + unrestricted SS Card for verification of employment:

This was suggested in the previous thread on this topic, Not sure why this advice wasn’t followed as it would have solved the issue
