Temporary moving to a different state: Should I inform USCIS?

Hello everyone,

I am currently in the process of I-751 (I am the petitioner spouse). My husband (USC) is being temporarily relocated to California for work (we live in Oregon right now). I understand that I have to inform USCIS when I change address, but in this case, we are not changing our primary residency, meaning:

- We will keep our current rental in Oregon and not changing our state IDs to California

Do I still need to tell USCIS about the place we are going to be staying in California? We will probably be in CA for up to a year, with some visits in our primary residence in Oregon.

Thank you!

Yes.  Leave your mailing address in Oregon and change your physical address

I was in a similar situation myself.  On my I-751 I selected the checkbox "Have you lived at any other address"? and mentioned the other address in the additional notes section, and wrote an explanation letter.  FWIW, my I-751 was approved without an RFE or interview.

I'll be in another state for just over a month later this year, and I don't think I'm going to change my address (as I'm still permanently residing at my primary address, just moving for that once month).
