Hello guys, I have an interview coming up for fiance, does anyone know where I upload my documents like affidavit of support, bank statements, police certificate, proof of relationship. CEAC website is requiring  an Invoice ID number but I never received it. I received my welcome letter from NVC back in October 28 but without invoice ID only case number. My case has been ready since  October 28, I already filed my ds-160 and paid and scheduled my interview. But I just don't know where to upload these documents.

NVC doesn’t manage K-1 cases and so each consulate has their own procedures.

Not knowing your consulate I can’t answer your question.

Some consulates want documents:

* dropped off before the interview.
* sent by courier

* sent by mail

* emailed

* uploaded to ustraveldocs.com

* brought to the interview

At Rangoon where my wife interviewed, the policy used to be drop off and then it changed to a combination of email and bring to  interview.

Thank you for the reply, by K1 visa do you mean specifically for fiancé visa? so I don't have to upload these documents to CEAC, I only need to send it to the consulate where I am interviewing ? My embassy of Interview is Ankara, Turkey. I received an email from them to bring these documents to the interview no mention in regards  to uploading them to a website.

So, why are you trying to upload them?  Follow their instructions.

Nothing is mentioned in regarding to upload documents in the email but the translator is mentioning something regarding to uploading documents. But I have never received such information. I thought he could be talking about CEAC but I am doing a fiancé application and I file ds-160 not ds-260 plus I have never received an Invoice ID number

I don’t  know of any other visa besides K-1 for  fiancé cases.

You should get familiar with the process, as not knowing your visa type you are fortunate to have gotten this far.

This is a good over view:

Then there is no upload.

There are more immigration visas than K visas and so your document translator is not familiar  with the K-1 process at Ankara.  Indeed for some consulates,  K-1 visas are rarely applied for and even more rarely issued. Perhaps Ankara is in that category.

Just an aside question, my fiance will also be interviewing at Ankara when the time comes (he's Turkish).  How long was the wait to get an interview date?  I am just curious.  I heard some embassy's have almost no wait, whereas others have 6 months or longer wait to schedule an interview.

Ok, thank you.  I see you're from Iraq too.  I heard that Ankara gives priority dates to its Turkish citizens before giving dates for non-citizens.  Either case, 3 months is not too bad.
