Hi. So I sent in my AOS 1 week before the 23rd Dec change to the I485 form. My PD is the 22nd.

A few days ago I got an RFE. This is the reason:

You have submitted Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, and ALL pages of the form are not present or of the same edition date.

Submit a properly completed and signed Form I-485. All pages must be present and of the latest edition date. The latest edition of Form I-485 can be found at the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov.

Now I scanned the forms before I submitted them, as well as keeping the original PDF for my own records. Going through the forms that I submitted, I noticed that page 1 of I485 is missing 3 questions from the bottom, and the edition date and numbers are missing. It got cut out likely because I was printing on A4 paper, and didn't change the print settings to print as A4. All the other pages are fine. Just missing barcodes.

Now I am not sure whether I should submit the old edition of the form, or the new one? The RFE states that I must download the latest edition on the USCIS website, but my PD is before the 23rd Dec change came into affect. The USCIS website states that if I submit my case before the 23rd, you HAVE to use the old form, or they will reject the filing.

I am so confused as to which edition of the form I should submit. I tried contacting USCIS through their website inbox thing, and no reply yet. And when they do reply, I highly doubt that they will be helpful.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys! I am doing the new form right now.

For my old form, I put 'NA' by places i would have left blank. Has anyone else done that? Is it okay?

It is ok to put NA on the forms to answers that do not apply to you.

All the best!

Thank you guys!

Can I respond to the RFE both online and through mail? Iv heard of cases where the applicant responds to the RFE online, then the deadline passes, and their case gets denied because USCIS claims that they never received it.

Can I respond to the RFE both online and through mail?

I received the same RFE. Do you need to submit all the initial evidence along with a fresh form, or just the form?
