next step? Residency for child under 21

hes not under 21 NOW but at the time we filed, 2 and a half years ago- he was. Got the approval notification and told going to NVC. Another notification today saying it was sent to department of state. We told my husbands son. What do we need to do next? or what is next? He is in canada.

i 485, 130, EAD and AP

04/09/2019    NOA1 received/check cashed i 485 and 130 (direct adjustment)

11/7/2019      Interview- Norfolk

11/10/2019    APPROVED (notification rec'd 11/10, approval dated 11/8)

DONE FOR TWO YEARS!!! ;)

 

Filed everything ourselves with no RFE's or delays.

 

CR1 for Child under 21 (20 at time of filing)- Filed by LPR Spouse for his son

4/4/20     Mailed packet

4/12/20   NOA1 rec'd

10/14/21 (havent heard anything... when do i start to get worried?)

9/15/22 APPROVED! Now to wait for NVC and interview....

Your husband is a USC?  If so, that's a long time for I-130 processing for child under 21 of a USC.

Does he have his RCMP police certificate yet?  If not, apply for one asap.

permanent resident. greencard (doesnt qualify for citizenship yet). yes we were way outside processing times but it worked well for us as he was still in university.

 

wasnt sure about the police cert yet, as far as long long before he could do it (same for medical). Will let hi know to do that now.

I believe the LPR husband filed not the USC wife

 

So the question is which category he is in

whatever category a 'child under 21 of a LPR is...  ? sorry, i dont know off the top of my head
