Hi folks,

Anyone has an idea how accurate/reliable the "processing timeline" on USCIS website is even with rough estimates/guestimates.

Fact is that I filed Form i-130 in Sept of 2017 (literally 60 months ago) -> USCIS for Vermont Center (that is where file is) shows "estimated" processing time 55.5 months, I know it's just an "estimate" & Please be aware that I am NOT being impatience - I am more curious than anything knowing that (obviously) I can't do nothing. Just wanted extra a set of different thought process that what you guys think. I know it is what it is.

Thanks,

sn

Can not be a child child?

Reply to are you a US citizen: NO - I have applied in the right category of Permanent Resident & I absolutely sure that am looking in right category on USCIS Website - However, with all due respect that was not my question/curiosity. Categories on the website are defined very clearly, I adhere to that there is no confusion there in the category I applied and category I am looking in and my confusion was what "estimate" they are giving and what actual time has elapsed. FYI - further clarification: When I go to list my receipt date the web site goes = "Your can enquire only after Aug 29, 2023. That is where my confusion.

Reply to is it a Child's child = No - She is my daughter. -> there also no confusion in application category. It's just this timeline and their claim of "clearing the back logs" does not match.

They state the expected processing and then say when you can inquire if it takes longer,  sometimes longer processing can be beneficial,. probably makes no difference in your case.

Diary for next year and contact them if you have not heard anything.

The questions asked of you may not have been directly what you asked. But as you also posted in the wrong forum, knowing details helps members give correct answers.
