That works fine, the boarding passes usually don't have years printed on them so are secondary evidence. Itinerary, and entry/exit stamps in passport are better.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

To all who did this, did you include all pages of the passport or just the pages with stamps? I am submitting my birth certificate for proof of citizenship. However, because of a minor name conflict between bc & passport I would prefer to not provide a copy of the identification page of the passport and just provide copies of the pages with the stamps.

So, you think proving "somebody" went there is going to be good enough?

I did want to clarify for the OP that the passport stamps are proof but the itineraries are not. It's ok to send them to support the stamps and other evidence but they don't mean much on their own. Pictures would mean more but most pictures don't prove much.

No offense...but i could have sent ANYONES identification page. These aren't the originals so no way to know on a photo copy WHO that id page really is anyways... Just a thought.

I"d also like to point out that alot of itineraries show that the ticket was PAID for and HOW and by WHO. While they don't provide sufficient evidence alone they certainly can be used with dated pictures or other reciepts from the same time. I mean If I have an itinerary showing Im flew into egypt Jan 20, and my hotel reciept shows I was there Jan 20-Feb 5, then I add a few more reciepts with pictures and a certified letter from family, friends there that will attest to our meeting. Alll that evidence adds up. Its up to the adjuicator to decide. While I agree the HARD proof is in the boarding passes, I disagree that itineraries can't be viewed as evidence. Its just PART of the picture.

I would certainly agree that itineraries add to the overall package, but alone they certainly can't prove that someone actually went through the trip. The passport stamps confirm that the trip actually took place.

While we had a set of boarding passes to correlate with one of our itineraries, I don't see why passport stamps + itineraries wouldn't be less evidential than boarding passes.

ID pages have names on them, so only the one with the name, birthdate, and birthplace that matches the petitioner's would work. The point is the USCIS consideres them primary evidence.

If you have dated hotel receipts in your name, I doubt the itinerary adds anything important but it can't hurt. Whatever combination is used, it has to add up to enough. Once it's enough all the extra is, well, "extra". When it doesn't add up, it still doesn't matter how much useless paperwork you threw up against the wall.

You have to have the originals available if they are requested. I wouldn't get bogged down in whether to include the ID page or not.

What's the "minor name conflict?" Is it something that's worth "hiding." If not, I wouldn't worry about that either.

TimsDaisy et al,

The minor conflict is that the name on my birth certificate and application have a suffix, while for some reason the suffix was deleted when they printed my passport. Short of getting a new passport and then waiting to apply until I travel to visit my fiance again, there is no way to make all the documents consistent.

I would not say I am bogged down, but it occurred to me that if I did not send the ID page, they can't flag the name discrepancy. Yes, I realize they might not care, but then again, who can guarantee that they won't?

I don't want an RFE for not including the ID page, but I also don't want the whole application rejected because of a name discrepancy either. I had hoped that at least a couple of people would not have bothered copying the entire passport if they were using the birth certificate as proof of citizenship and would report on what happened with their application. Unfortunately, so far I have not heard from anyone who did that.

Thanks.

Bill

I hardly think it's worth submitting the passport without an ID page, it just doesn't make sense - suffix or not. As it's been said, it could be anyone's passport. They will know EXACTLY how you spell your name on your passport if they bother to look it up.

I submitted an entire copy of my passport + BC as proof.

I submitted an entire copy of my passport. Copies of the exit and entry stamps on my and my fiance's passport. Receipt's for my engagement ring and our wedding rings. Train ticket receipts. Tickets for some of the places we visted like aquariums, boat rides, tokyo tower, etc. And I also sent around 6 pictures with our name's, date, and location written on the back. As far as the pictures go I tried to include several pictures over the entire time we've been together (ie. Our first picture, one from several months later, all the way to the last picture taken together).

In front of everything I included a kind of cover sheet with a description of everything I sent.

I haven't heard anything back but if I get a RFE I will go insane.
