Interview Tomorrow

Wish us luck! I think we have everything that we need and all should go well for us. Though I did just lose my job and broke my jaw in six different places...I wonder how well they'll understand my wired shut words...?

WE PASSED!!! The interview was very easy. We showed up 15 minutes early, was called back at almost exactly 9am, the guy didn't really ask us any qustions, he really just wanted our joint bank account info, rental agreements....etc. He then asked Anna what she planned on doing in America for work, she said she was studying nails, he actually gave her his personal cell phone number and said that she could call him if she needed any help finding work because he knew a lot of Vietnamese shop owners (it turned out he lived in our small city an hour away). Then he went on talking about how loyal Asians were to their husbands and how he had a Vietnamese fiancee once who lived in Indiana and they had to break it off because of the distance. Then he went through the list of usuall questions real fast, 'are you communist, are you going to be a prostitute, are you going to practice polygamy'...those sorts. Then he said our card would come in about a month and wished us a great life together. He didn't ask to see any pictures, he didn't ask about my job or my lack of a job therefore...he really didn't care too much about anything. We lucked out. Anyways, thanks everyone for your support.

Congrats! I think you had the same interviewer that we had, sounds exactly the same as my experience in Seattle

Did he say why it would take a month instead of the normal 2 weeks?

Errr... I kind of think some of the comments the interviewer made were pretty inappropriate though...

Well, he said, 'not to be biased,' before he made those comments. About the 30 days, I'm not sure, he said it was all automated these days, maybe he said it will come within 30 days, I can't remeber.

Congratulations on the easy and successful interview you two! Great to hear!

I think the 30 days to get the green card is standard language and you will likely get the card well before that. USCIS is fantastic at covering their posteriors when it comes to promises and/or processing times.

Anyway, the successful interview will probably help the healing considerably, one more huge CONGRATULATIONS!

It is really great to hear interviews in Seattle seem to go very well.

Congrats!! My husband and I just had our interview for his AOS today and it went really well, as well. Our greencard production has been ordered. Isn't it such a weight off your shoulders now?

God, yes! It's probably the biggest weight lifted, ever! Would I do it again...? In a second! It was worth every minute of it. The fear, grieving, nervousness, anxiousness, anticipations....all worth it. Thank you, everyone for all of your support and help. Thanks so much!
