Received an email for a new updated medical and passport to be sent back to consulate end of september. visa status changed to Issued today.

Congratulations and thank you for giving us your good news, this helps the group immensely. It would be great if you could add your timeline to the spreadsheet for us.

This is good news

It took you 2.5 months since the embassy contacted you in end of September.

Was it a delay from your side ? Can you share details on how many days it took for each step after you got the medical request.

It is greatly appreciated. Happy for you anyway.

Excellent news and congratulations. I hope this is the start of more good news to come for those of us who interviewed in early 2023.

Don’t forget the late 2023 unlucky ones too. I hope it will be a start for everyone, so we can meet our loved ones.🙏

Absolutely, hopefully the system will begin running within more reasonable timeframes for everyone stuck in this terrible situation.

Yay congratulations!

For clarity, you don't get the GC until after you enter the US with your visa.

I was just thinking yesterday how we haven't seen an update in almost 4 months. Congrats! I added the info you've provided in the spreadsheet. A couple of questions:

What day in Sept did they email you?

When did you send everything in?

Please keep us posted when you finally get the passport back in hand.

Huge congratulations! I'm sure you are immensely happy right now!

As an update, I interviewed early Feb 2023, sent in docs March 2023 and still have not had any updates whatsoever, other than the occasional update on the tracker. All of these updates corresponded to generic email responses I would get after emailing for updates though.

Thank you everyone!! This group gave me lots of hope and support during this tough period.  I received the request to send back my passport and for a new medical on Sept 25. Mailed them Oct 10. Only heard back today (Dec 14) that I was getting my passport back, received a purolator tracking number.

You should hear something soon based on recent progress.

Please let us know once you get a Medical request or an update.
